Doesn't it feel like it was a long, long, long time ago since we last saw Lin even though it wasn't? For some reason, each game that comes up, I keep thinking Lin is going to just show up in the line up unannounced.

I miss his crazy assist and lane-drive. Hopefully Knicks pulls through the first round so we can get some Lin-playoff action. I have this feeling Lin is going to play in the 1st round. I just do. In fact, the first game of the first round playoff.

I had the meniscus repair thing done on the right knee too, and have two decades more worth of blacktop arthritis than Lin. I sure hope the "i'm jogging now" thing is a good sign.

I hate joint pain...

but I just ordered my official, Jeremy Lin Bauerfiend A3 Knee Brace!

what's the matter, the thread that you made 2 weeks ago about missing lin wasn't enough?

Same here. I have knee arthritis at the age of only 33! I'm fine walking and jogging but no more basketball for me

Happy Birthday again, Bonn. I just turned 50! Doc just gives me the "smh" when I tell him the goal is to get back on the court. Damned brace set me back $200, so I have unreasonably high expectations. My NBA starts Memorial Day Weekend.

Keep hope alive, bro!

I hope we trade Lin, just to get rid of the clowns.

Hey now, don't let his most annoying fans affect the way you feel about him. Lin's a good player who helps the team win.

I don't hate or even dislike Lin, it's his followers that are the pain.

It's like Tim Tebow, but worst, because Tebow fans endorse him because of a religion.

I think Lin is the religion for his fans.

So my counter proposal is if we can't trade him, can we do something like Soul Man and paint Lin Black??? Because nobody really cares about a black guy playing basketball well.

we MIGHT see Lin in the 2nd round if we get the 6th seed and meet the Pacers in the 1st rd 6th seed. which would mean that we have to beat the clippers and bobcats and orlando has to lose to the bobcats and grizzlies. i doubt the magic will lose to the bobcats. would've helped if we beat the cavs on friday.

IMO, it's see you next yr Lin.

knew it was only a matter of time... surprised it took this long, since the Cleveland game is still being mentioned...

I'd lower your expectations of Lin. He's only started light jogging- the playoffs are this weekend! First he's got to get full power back in his knee, then he has to get in shape, then he has to get in basketball shape. It's not like the regular season, where a player can ease their way back- it's the playoffs, when people are playing at their peak, one rusty player can lose their team a game in a matter of minutes.

Lin won't of played in 6 weeks if he does return, and it'll be the second or third round of the playoffs. At most he might play ten or so minutes off the bench- maybe he gives us a scoring boost. Have faith in the rest of the team- they're playing well. I know you're a big Lin fan, and that's all well and good, but try being a KNICK fan and you might enjoy the rest of the season more- we have a nice mix of personalities on the team and they're easy to root for.

Looks like it's very unlikely he's returning for the playoffs, here's a bit from an article that explains whats happening and why he's not returning as quickly as Grant Hill did:

Jeremy Lin, who made the Knicks’ road trip, tweeted he jogged for the first time Sunday since knee surgery three weeks ago. But people familiar with the situation said he’s at least three weeks away and definitely will miss Round 1.

Because Lin had a “lateral’’ meniscus tear in his knee, it takes much longer to rehab than if it was a “medial’’ tear, according a person with knowledge of Lin’s situation. The Knicks originally did not disclose whether it was “medial’’ or “lateral’’.

Lin hoped to beat the six-week timetable, but that isn’t happening as his knee swelled up after surgery.

Thats not good. Someone posted a picture of the difference between lateral and medial in the original thread and we were all hoping it was medial as it was suggested that lateral takes longer to heal. Knicks at it again with smug secrecy but can't really blame them because when they are truthful the media and fans tend to spin the truth
