We find out that we made the play-offs and we throw a game. Melo could have scored 25 points in the first quarter if he wanted to. Instead him and Chandler give a lousy performanc. This is a game we should have made a statement in. But instead we played like we didn't care. Melo and Chandler laughing on the side line. They ain't that good to do that. They should have wasted Cleveland tonight. Tony Douglas I feel sorry for. He just don't get it because him and some of the other players are playing D'Antoni B ball still. In order for this team to get my respect back they will have to show me the will to win instead of throwing games. Melo needs to score 30 points every game and I don't care about Amare getting points because he gives the points right back by not playing defense.I guess we will give Charlote thier 8th win of the season.

Listen
Melo had a poor game 1st in AGEs and he'd tell you he Su_ccKed.

But the bad lost was about whole Team.

You are right about T.D.

I cant stand him here anymore, he gets chances and all he does is jack up shots and shows poorest basketball IQ skills I'd seen on anyone in knickerbocker jersey for quite sometime

Some of this is also on Amare, though cant blame him for the loss he needs games or wks to adjust. His health and back wont ever ever be same

But Amare comes about his business with intent on jumpers, not boxing out, not switching or covering his own man on Defense

ME, you, MisterEarl and any 2 other forum-guys playing guard can perhaps score on Amare Stoudemire in a hoops pickup game
and THAT IS BAD !

Woody balled out OR ripped his team diplomatically last night on MSG show to point I felt Cablevision cut it off into series
of 5-10 min commercial since MSG/Knicks bosses cant stand negative chit chat on Knicks in general.

Coach Woody being unhappy last night was good enough for me
Maybe these guys will get a message on what their season will be about in NBA playoffs.

People here say Melo is a superstar. Can you imagine the treatment Lebron would get if he pulled the **** Melo did last night? 29 minutes and 1 rebound? 4 times as many turnovers as rebounds? 10 min of every 30 on Sportscenter would be devoted to Lebron's diva act.

Come'on Bonn cut it out

Wha' sh_t Melo pulled ? When Knicks were in the game then after 2nd half out of it Melo played very little as did rest
of starters since it was clear to Coach Woodson the starters were not in the game mentally.

Melo had poor poor game So what ?
but << 29 minutes and 1 rebound? 4 times as many turnovers as rebounds>> was just waiting for Anthony to fail
should cite..AFTER THE 1000 Times he bailed out Knicks in 3wks - 1mo. recently prior to clinching playoff spot

those 29 minutes and 1 rebound? 4 times as many turnovers as rebounds you cite
are Amare Stout #s on his healthy days before he recently BALLED better prior to Injury

The whole Knickerbocker team stunk and sunk horse crap last nite; Everyone of them suckas tanked and sanked. why blame Melo?
to cite Melo, whom been banged up playing through April injuries & with NO (0) time off

At least we had someone in Anthony whom carried Knicks and beheaded foes such as BUCKs, Sixers and eastern contenders
on the way to a playoff spot, minus LIN minus AMARE. Yes this something poor poor Coach Dan D'Antoni's brother could not achieve.

Like I say until you see Amare win a game or 2 for Knicks
BY HIMSELF which I should point out then we'll have something better to look forward to. Amare is great at talking good big game.
Let see his stats approach the good Melo over time.

And even with Melo poor turnovers/rebound Cavs disaster you go back over this & last season Stoudemire boards per minutes likely
LESS than Melo Anthony's and Stoudermire turnovers is likely leading Knicks in that dept. over entire roster.

At least Jeremy Lin and few role bench players Won Knicks few games as Melo and Tyson Chandler done with their wit & GRIT in
March-April. Lets see MDA disciple Amare Stoudemire WIN few games for Knicks now and in NBA playoffs.

By the way Melo is our Star but he isn't Lebron James, even aint Kobe, Rose or Wade.
That is fact Melo is notch below them guys but he's a proud NYer whom wears the game on his sleeve.
#7 is a Great chance in playoffs for Melo to get Knicks few wins and can't say that about any single Knickerbocker on roster.

I really believe that you must have the hots for him. I heard he is a vegan too.

That's it. I am now convinced Melo ran over your dog with his Bentley.

Like I thought, you don't want him held to superstar standards. Being a superstar means you're never doing enough unless you're team is at the top.

If this is aimed at me, then you obviously never read anything I post. I have not once--ever--called him a superstar. The man needs to make some sustained noise in the playoffs before I label him as such.

That being said, your ability to extrapolate hidden meaning from a single line in a forum post is indeed impressive. Are you an X-Man?

No it wasn't aimed at you, and we appear to be on the same page actually. I'm just giving the people who say Melo has earned superstar (or top 10) status a hard time here.

Melo is a superstar. He smiled and had a good time with the crowd.

Superstars don't care if the coaches job might depend on winning playoff series so long as the guy coaches showcases his talent?

No, superstars can get rid of one coach but not a line of succession. Superstars get angry and puts the team on its back and sets it right.

Superstars would rather die then lose.

Superstars don't smile.

Melo is a classical NBA Star player but he is not classy and not a warrior.
He is Melo... His name says it all.

what makes it worse is that the Magic lost just like i knew they would and they will also lose the denver game so we could have gotten the 6th spot

It was no way we can win both Atlanta and Clips games...
So I do not think the loss to Cavs changed anything.

Is there an official statistic for this?

Bonn saying this is like someone who hasn't been able to take a really satisfying dump for a week finally unleashing hell in a toilet. It's a big relief and comfort.

It's been killing him that Melo has been proving everything he's spewed about him wrong. we have over a month of proof, aside from the rest of his career, that Melo is at least a top 10 player.

I wasn't happy with the Cleveland game also. I thought it was disgraceful. But it doesn't mean Melo isn't a stud.

Bonn, you've said all season how great Chandler has been for this team. And I agree that he's the MVP of this team. But why no ire towards him? Is he overrated because he didn't play inspired ball for one game?

How is it no way we can beat both they are good teams but they are not elite or anything an we see to play better when we play better competition and we seem to play worse when we play crappy teams like the other night

I'm not going to get mad at them- what they've achieved these last 20 games is amazing. They fought and punched above their weight when Amar'e and Lin went out, and got us into the playoffs despite battling a torrent of injuries. Amar'e came back and they clinched a playoff spot- it's pretty understandable why they let their foot off the gas. Sure I'd prefer it if they'd kept the pace going in these last games, but I get why they didn't.

I lost a little respect for Melo and the Knicks team tonight.
