Wonderful! Now I don't ever have to see the sight of an out of shape, lazy bum that is Billy Walker again! This and Landry Fields going to bench combined with clinching a playoff spot has me truly euphoric today!!!

I would like it more if he was 6 inches shorter and played pg. lol. Also Gadzuric, really. Its that the only FA there was. Another thing is the Knicks has Jorts and Jordan. why would they need another big on the bench?

Then wouldn't Joe Smith be a better signing?

Walker looked chubbier when he returned from injury.

He is eligible but I don't know if he is in shape. Probably not. This late in the season...tough to get a serviceable big man.

Big man insurance, can't go wrong there. Walker wasn't going to play in the playoffs anyways.

I like the direction, but Dan Gadzuric is about 10 years late. He was injury prone back when we had Spree and Houston.
Sean Williams was waived by Mavericks and Joe Smith has the ability to hit the 10 footer, even though he is old and play good defense.
I would prefer Ak47, he is done in Europe after winning the European Championships, if we wants to come over for a brief stinct and show what he can bring for next year, it would be magnified here in New York....

Would have been nice if we were able to get Hickson.

With all the injuries, I think we are weak in the PG and Center positions this season.
Lester Hudson was also waived by Cleveland.

Veteran Bigs
======================
Sean Williams
Joe Smith
Jarron Collins
MBenka
Etan Thomas
Malik Allen

Shot blockers
======================
Ak47
Jeff Adrien
Kieth Benson
Chris Johnson

Shooters
======================
Kapono
Roger Mason Jr *2nd stinct back in NY*
Trenton Hassell *more defender*
Morris Peterson
Devin Brown
Devin Green *summer league cut by Knicks*
forgot his name but the other PF that was cut by the Knicks with Green looked serviceable at PF/C

I don't know many PG's or any outside of Hudson
Anthony Carter
Mike James is still with Bulls I think
Antonio Daniels
Marbury *LOL*

Don't knows because of the "restricted FA"
Aaron Brooks
Luther Head

just throwing out names there, I think we do need help with all these injuries we have, we are no longer MOB DEEP for playoffs, with JJ, Baron Davis, Amare, Lin all injured and hurting. I like Jorts but I don't think he has good enough shot blocking ability to back up Tyson consistently. He also doesn't have the ability to play PF with his lack of speed/quickness. Maybe next year he will be better after a year under his belt and some more training...

with Iman, Melo, n TC still playing with injuries and Bibby being our best TRUE PG over Baron Davis,

We're pretty much Mob Deep again. Amare is back tonight, Landry goes to bench fortifying it, BD is back from his stomach bug tonight, Melo is 100%. Only guys gimpy is JJ, and Lin is out obviously.

Good Signing. Sounds like he takes the place of JJ2 who is still bothered by knee issues. Like JJ2, Gadzuric is a really good defender and runs the floor pretty well. He differ's from JJ2 in that he can block shots and is a stronger defenser in the paint and a better rebounder. Good signing considering what we might lose if JJ2 is unhealthy.

Love the move by Woodson of keeping Shump in the starting lineup and move Fields to the bench to hopefully play back up SF as should have been all along. We keep our SL defense strong up the middle with Shump and Chandler.

Fields plays better in a spread 'em out set anyways which the bench employs more with JR and Novak. If he's not cutting, he's not helping offensively at all.

Fields starting on Woodsons 15-5 team has not hurt them.

Fields plays the 2 when Novaks 3?

Or does fields slide to pine where Billy sat?

We have a winner! Finally! Been praying for the day Fields makes it out of the rotation for months now. No way he gets minutes over novak and JR. Especially come playoff time

Dan Gadzuric... where's he been? I liked him a long time ago. If he's been playing well in Europe then I like this deal a lot. Gives us another nice big body, and that good because the direction of this team should be big half court grind out 90s stle ball

does the record automatically reflect if someone is helping/hurting team?

I think Fields is hurting team, and the coach has marginalized his play by reducing minutes.
