Milwaukee's loss to Indiana clinched a playoff berth for New York.

With Dwight Howard not expected to return the rest of the season, the 'Bockers have a chance at #6. Magic's number to clinch it is 2, so Magic should lose all but 1 of their remaining 4 games while we win all our last 4.

This has been a rollercoaster. Injuries have cost us big, we've had problems with coaching and systems. We've underachieved in many stretches. But we've also had a wonderful run with Linsanity, then a masterful one with Woodstock and Melo's great recent play. We've enjoyed one of the best acquisitions in Tyson Chandler and a great rookie play from Shump.

Its been stressful. Its been delirious. Its been frustrating. Its been amazing. This run has really been remarkable.

Best of all?

Its just getting started. Amar'e willbe back, to join Ty and Melo. And if our hopes are addressed, Lin could return at some point. Rejoice fans, we're back to the playoffs!

The team should be proud of itself. This was a very good accomplishment given how things were going at one point. If they could also grab that 6th seed that would be even better, but this is a very good thing to have it locked up.

They overcame a lot. This also means the pick from the McGrady trade isn't a lottery pick. Huge day for the Knicks. Lets hope they get the 6th seed and make a deep run in the playoffs.

Miami beat Chicago now they are only 1.5 back. 1 on the lost column. Next best thing if we dont get the 6th seed would be facing #2 seed Chicago

I really believe in this team. I think they have the collective mental attitude they need to be successful. They're a really tight knit group from the look of how they stick up for each other. You have to have that kind of spirit to go far. I see that with the better teams in this league. It's a great group of guys that are all working hard and pulling for each other. Making the 2nd round would be freakin awesome no matter who we face!!!

Right is decision time- now we're in the playoffs, do we rest BD (and any other banged up player- maybe Shump can rest his ankle) the rest of the season, in the hope we get a bit healthier for the playoffs, or do we keep pushing for 6th seed?

Until we're officially locked into 7th, I don't want to take the foot off the gas knowing there's a slim chance of an Orlando collapse.
You can probably get away resting Baron against Cleveland, and end of the season against Charlotte, but these next four games could be the difference between 1st round exit and advancing to the 2nd round.

Usually I don't care who we play as long as we are playing well going in. Whats the difference between playing miami/chicago in the 1st or 2nd round. In this case avoiding those two teams in the 1st round might buy us enough time to get Amare playing closer to 100% and Lin returning. Then bring on those teams!

We need to keep winning and hope the Magic collapse without Dwight.

If Bibby can keep hitting the occasional three, rest Baron until next year.

orlando has @utah @denver (h)char @memphis left on their schedule. i see them going 1-3. we need to go atleast 3-1 since we own the tiebreaker.
