because you forgot what it means. This guy had a nice shot last year--its getting worse and worse---now he doesnt want to shoot. He needs to look at video from last year--forget anything he learned this summer and start from the free throw line practicing with arc on his shot.

I dont know why he changed it. He had a decent shot last year. Wasn't he one the better shooters last year when shooting 3 point shots in the 4th quarter percentage wise?

What the hell is Alan Houston doing to earn his paycheck? Can someone tell me why he's not running Fields through a clinic every freakin day?

Fields' shot is even ugly/unlistenable on the radio.

Fields lack of arc is a mental issue. He essentially has a "hitch" in his shot...or the "yips". He is done. He needs to be hypnotized or have a brain transplant. You can tell he is releasing the ball to late, and he is breaking his wrist. This is a complete mental issue, that may not be able to be cured. It may ruin his career.

Landry needs to get over the fact that his calculations
show that that shortest distance between two points is
a straight line.

Trade him to NJ...he'll fit right in with all the ugly shooters they have there.
Seriously, Landry's an 8th man at best on a good team.

and this is the guy people were getting out the pitchforks for in the melo trade. Landry was the deal breaker for many.

Well we had a choice between keeping fields or gallo and we kept fields. Now this not a gallo vs melo comparison but imagine gallo being our sixth man or playing the 3 while melo played the 4 that would have been nasty

His play last year was just excellent. Looking back we should have obviously tried to swap Gallo or Chandler for him, but hindsight is 20/20.

Still can't give up on a good kid though. If he changes his shot again this summer to something that works, he'll be a great player

Yeah, we're not the smartest guys in basketball. Fields and all the coaches around him must know something is wrong with the shot. But they probably don't have enough time to fix it (and it does need fixing, because it is broken), so it has become an off season thing. That's my optimistic/positive answer.

Or Fields is just too stubborn. Which is kinda dumb and not the player he's supposed to be. (But then again we have all seen him do the dribble, drive, jump, pass to nowhere or throw up that godawful ugly flick shot floater).

I dont know about great player. The constant turnovers have nothing to do with the lack of arc on his shot

I dont remember anyone playing defense last year. Hence the reason we were last in every defensive statistic

I don't think you can say "his defense was good last year" about any knick player.

Yes I know we were horrible as a team but fields did actually play decent defense compared to this year for him.

I meant that it was better than this year from fields

He was kept cos he was playing pretty well for a second round pick and we had no options at sg. Hindsight not keeping wilson instead was extremely costly. Wilson off the bench this year would have been fantastic
