I Know that amare is suppose to come back against the nets but why not 1 day earlier in a huge game. I know some people are worried about KG but Amare is gonna have to deal with tough forwards. i mean he is after all a 100 million dollar star so he should show up in these big games

I think he plays against Boston. Or, so help our crappy offense.

Maybe he should come off the bench the first game back. It would strengthen our second unit and melo has been great at the 4 so far so maybe Woody tries that?

Not happening. Already determined. I am sure they will limit his minutes.

Yeah You are right Woody said he would return to the 4 which is fine.

No matter if Amare plays or not I want to win this game. it seems like everytime we play Boston we have the win in sight and the we fold and let them back in. I mean it has happened at least 7 or 8 times within the last 2 years

I see him starting but they can easily manage his minutes so that he plays with the second unit. I see an early hook in the first and him starting the second. With Bradley starting I think we match up very well with Boston even without Amar'e but we could definately use him. Yes we need him in the Playoffs but I think the Knicks can beat Boston without him.

+1. I'm sick of losing to the Celts in the final seconds of games.

Amare should come back when he feels his back is ready. This game against Boston isn't that important, and isn't more important than any other game from now until the end of the regular season.

This game against Boston feels like a must win game. Normally I'm all about resting your stars coming back from injury, but if Amare's even 90%, he needs to suit up for this game.

Don't expect a win. With Chandler hurt, and Shumpert with his sprained ankle don't expect the Knicks to beat Boston. I say give the night off to the hurt players let them rest even consider resting Anthony.

I expect we do everything possible to suck it up and play every game hard and try to move up out of the 7th spot.

We build momentum and chemistry on top of what we have.

I don't want any piece of Miami or CHicago in the first round.

I don't even want to see Miami in any series. Can't stand watching them.

At the very least I do appreciate the fact they have toned it down and not performing that clown act during the games.

We can beat them. But we won't.

I would use the Celtics game to give 48 minutes to Douglass, Fields, Jorts, Bibby, walker,
and Smith get these guys in game shape. Really would like to give Douglas and Walker run.

If the Knicks are smart will treat this as a throw away game. Rest is more important for the ailing players right now. It's a first of a back to back. If the Knicks lose to Boston using all their players there is more a chance to lose to the Nets the next day.

Sorry man but that doesnt make too much sense. Even woody sais their goal is still to win teh atlantic or get the 6th spot which is possible with dwights injury.

No way- he needs to be brought back slowly, and that doesn't mean making him play a back to back straight away. We need to see how he responds to a single game first, and take it from there.

If he plays the Celtics game, that means he can't play the Nets game. The Nets game is more winnable (though they are extra motivated against us so even then it's not going to be easy- still can't believe D Williams last game against us), and their defense isn't as good- he has a better chance of making an impact in that game.

What's the point in rushing him back to play against a tough, physical, defensive team, and then have to play again the next night?

Celtics big three didn't play yesterday vs. Bobcats. Only Rondo played.
Let's wait to see their injury report for tomorrow night's game.

Pierce originally was going to play against the Bobcats but jammed his left toe Saturday night. Garnett was expected to rest all along.

Also, Ray Allen remained out with an ailing right ankle and may miss tomorrow night’s matchup with the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, as well.

You'd do that only two games over .500, the Bucks still close to us and with the possibility of facing Miami or Chicago in the first round if we make the playoffs? Think again.

We have to do our very best to win that game. We have to play like we did against Miami except for the last 6 minutes. We have the defense to win that game. We have to keep our focus and push so we get a much needed win against them.

We still haven't made the playoffs so no need to act like its a forgone conclusion.
