Tyson is the MVP of this team. I love Lin and I love Melo - but the one constant for both of those streaks was Tyson (and Shump, to a slightly lesser extent).

But Tyson CHANGES the game on defense - there are just no easy baskets inside with Tyson around. He shut down Hibbert, Dwight Howard, Noah, etc in HUGE playoffs intensity games. And the taps he gets on offense have kept so many late game possessions alive, it's incredible.

The dude is the team's MVP. You just can't even question it.

Next to Carmelo (when Amare is out), Tyson is without question this team's most valuable player.

TYSON IS THE TEAM MVP. He isn't next to anybody, this not up for discussion. If you don't agree then you probably don't follow Knicks basketball.

SHUMPERT had some forgettable games but he has been unbelievable over this stretch. He should be on the NBA all defensive team.

LIN - did what no one even dared to dream about - enough said.

MELO - Career all star as an SF has started playing his best ball as a PF for the Knicks. Whatever works-- I'll take it. Should be interesting when STAT is back.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Now I can see what difference he made in Dallas.

Dirk must have been badly pissed to see him leave.

Some days I don't get Cuban, yeah remaining financialy flexible is great, but how many times do you have a shot at a repeat?

You win one, you're quickly dismissed and forgotten. But 2 rings? You enter the Winners Club.

He never should have left Chandler go, and now I really understand why, the guy has the heart of a true champion.

This, if you're a championship contender right now you shouldn't be hurting your team for a possible future payoff.

He has now made 2 really bad personnel decisions based on money - first was Nash now Tyson. Nash I could sort of understand at the time although I didn't agree with it. Letting go of Tyson was just plain stupid though.

The Defensive Anchor of this Knick team. What he brings to the table is much appreciated.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I didn't really disagree with the Nash decision, but he then turned around and gave that money to Erick Dampier.

Agreed. Tyson is the anchor to this team and the #1 reason as to why the Knicks are able to churn out victories.

completely agree. could not believe the mavs were letting him go. mavs are now an 8th seed, instead of a contender.

all that for the chance to add deron williams? i'd rather have tyson than deron. good point guards are much easier to find than good defensive centers. tyson chandler is a top 5 center. i'd say he's proving he's a top three center. he just shut down noah and dwight in back to back games.

yep. he won't get the votes because the national media hates NY... though seriously, who the heck is better? if dwight gets it again the award is a joke.

to me, tyson HAS to be DPOY. he has taken this team to a top 5 defensive team when they were horrible before.

^ It's funny. Last year the Knicks were 5th in offensive efficiency and 21st in defensive efficiency.

Now they're 5th in defensive efficiency and 21st in offensive efficiency.

Time to find the healthy medium, I guess.

Tyson. Chandler.
