I would rather have Phil Jackson but this would not be a bad consolation prize. He loves a crazy challenge and whats bigger than this? Pitino failed in the NBA and what better way to stick it to his most hated foe than to win with the Knicks?

When John Calipari ruled as general manager and coach, one of the interns within the New Jersey Nets’ basketball operations had come to expect his frantic, flustered boss to deliver a most vain order. Calipari became obsessed with the callers to the midday New York radio show ripping into him, and orchestrated a counter propaganda program.

And so was born “Anthony from Hoboken,” several team sources said. Anthony was a staunch, defiant and fictional advocate for the eventually exiled Emperor of East Rutherford. He made calls to WFAN out of the Nets’ offices, telling metropolitan New York that he was one fan who couldn’t understand all the criticism heaped on Calipari.

I think he will post here!

When MDA posts here so why can't Calipari?

Anyway, if the Knicks will never win we should at least be theatrical, no? Calipari is perfect!!

well... It makes sense to start looking at coaches. We had our nice little winning streak. But damn... playing that hard all the time is exhausting! Much easier to go back to the way things were.

Unfortunately there is no recruiting players in the NBA. If not for the amount of talent that Calipari recruits we probably don't know who he is.

I'd rather have a coach that is about Defense. Also, when has John ever been credited about his coaching ability.

i think woodson is the right coach for an 82 game season.

i know you were kidding, but i think with this schedule, it actually was too hard to keep playing that hard while missing three rotation players. last night's loss felt like exhaustion and not having enough bullets left in the guns, while the pacers had the depth to keep coming strong. if the knicks had lin and jeffries and stat last night, no way they lose.

I can't believe anyone who remembers Calipari's last stint in the nba, would even consider him as our coach- he was absolutely terrible, and an a**hole too. Didn't he get in trouble for anti-semetic comments too? He's completely classless. I remember he and Rick Pitino came to the nba at the same time and they both stunk. NO, NO, NO.

Edit- actually, it wasn't anti-semetic, I remember now, he called a journalist a "f***ing mexican idiot"- don't want him anywhere near this team.

Dolan would have to be insane to bring in Calipari.

I'd pass on Cal. We've seen this movie before with Rick Pitino.

I'd like the way Rick coached the Knicks - he had a run and gun, press and bomb group that did very well his second year.

Boston a different story.

But I don't want Calipari.

If its not Woodson- and so far I think he'd done a pretty good job- I'd rather bring Patrick Ewing up to be our coach.
