Karma?

In 2001, Stephon donated $250,000 of the money derived from Pepsi sponsorships to help victims of September 11.

In 2005, Marbury donated between $500,000 and $1,000,000 to help victims of Hurricane Katrina.

In 2007, Stephon donated $4,000,000 to New York City, $1,000,000 each to the NYPD, FDNY, EMT, and New York City Teacher's Fund.

FeltonandAmare wrote:Karma is a bitch and it just bit the clown master in the ass.

Marburys generosity towards his extended family is also well documented.

Feltonand Amare - exactly what did Stephon Marbury do to deserve your enjoyment of his misfortune?

Just curious, what cash have you donated to similar causes?

i think marbury is a good dude, who just got some horrible advice for managing his career.

those numbers earl just mentioned add up to over $10 million dollars that marbury donated to charity. i remember a story that he bought a $25 million private jet for himself. just bad management and bad advice.

his house was worth $3 million.

pay off the house first, marbs. glad he is having some success in china.

One more thing

Marbury has been named to The Sporting News list of "Good Guys in Sports" three times.

Thats nice that he donated money for a good cause. I dont know him personally so I wont make any assumptions but i think FeltonAmare was referring to his playing days in New York where he did cause alot of heartache for the fans. He didnt say he was a horrible person so i dont think he did anything wrong

What Marbury did wrong was play in NY for a classless franchise. I also agree that some of these young players are extremely misled by selfish "friends" - just like "The Decision".

Marbury is an emotional guy who got his heart ripped to shreds in NY and he could not handle it.

IrishKnickFan - as you are defending FeltonandAmare's comment that "Karma is a bitch and it just bit the clown master in the ass.", what bad karma makes Stephon Marbury's foreclosure an item for your amusement, or to label him a "clown"?

I hope Marbury checked the exchange rate

JamesLin - That should've brought him lots of money, no?

1 Japanese yen = 0.0121 US dollars

If Marbury was paid a million yen he only makes $12,000 US dollars

sheesh

Foreclosure isn't as bad as it seems. Might be good move on his part especially if the house isn't worth what it use to. Give back to the bank.

sheesh

I don't remember China using Japanese yen as their currency.
Also, Marbury has his business in China as well, not to mention, his popularity in China supercedes Jeremy Lin and Yao Ming and that brings a lot of dough (ahem, Chinese Renmingbi, not yen) for his business.

Exactly, I couldn't have said it better myself! It's amazing how people forget what this clown did to this franchise. He deserves everything he gets and more.

That's a big positive on Marbury, that he's not criminal only crazy.

Marbury with kg was inspirational.

It was always his on the court problems that killed Marbury... and fame. Off the court, though I don't like how everyone KNOWS about his generosity, it's still undeniable what he does for other people. He's a spiritual man who seems to have some issues. I hope he's doing better in China. He deserves good fortune.
