Overall under Woodson, nearly 18 percent of Anthony's touches are in the post, according to ESPN Stats & Information. In 32 games under D'Antoni, Anthony operated in the post 11.7 percent of the time. D'Antoni relied on Anthony to initiate the offense and play on the perimeter. Woodson's offense is heav(ier) on (feeding the player posting up), giving Anthony a chance to operate with his back to the basket

Let Carmelo have the post.

Amar'e would be wise to take a page from the Book Of Karl Malone. If he can find some consistency from 18-20 feet it would be a beautiful thing.

Look for Glen Grunwald to bring in the next post prototype of Jared Jeffries (with a more reliant mid range jumper) for the frontcourt.

not as important as having a prototype 2 sharpshooter.

If Shump can do it, then he'll be Igudala.

Iggy is a hell of a player only tarnished by his crazy contract.

My Kingdom for a Four

Nalod - The Answer Man has total confidence that Iman Shumpert will have the 2 on lock by his junior year, if not earlier.

Our issue is insurance for Stoudemire's lumbar region and Jeffries apparent fragile history.

Forget Igoudala

If Shump can hone his jump shot to average around 48 percent from the field he will be Jordan.

Not Jerome either.

This is why I’m penciled Kevin Garnett as our number one free agent this offseason, plus the next time Melo or Stat blow a defensive assignment Garnett will be all over them.

I was hoping the 5.5 million exception, obviously, that’s only if Lin resign for one more year at minimum so we can have his full Bird rights after next season and sign him for an even bigger contract.
While I truly wish to go young, I also think we need a strong character on this team, some that can keep the players on check when they relapse on effort.

Mike Woodson.

Then why NBA teams have captains and co captains on their team?

Answer
To set the standard, push and lead their teammates.

Did You Say Starting Calibre?

Josh Harrellson has some herculean work ahead (on his post moves) to mentioned in the same short story as Kevin Love. His layups are blocked with regularity.

Jerome Jordan is not a four. Besides, not showing any lateral quickness, he is as raw as they come in his low post game.

You Funny!!

I think we will be signing Pierce and Allen for our bench as well. Oh, and maybe they will throw in Rondo being that we over paid for the other 3

The VOICE

KnicksFE wrote:everybody knows every team need a voice in the lockeroom.

Disagree here. "Everybody knows" that only weak coaches need a "voice" (advocate/spy) in the locker room.

Smart coaches allow every player to have a voice.

Why not, Garnett will be a free agent this summer and Boston is going into rebuilding mode with their cap space, I think he is worth a try.

Sure everybody has a voice, but not every opinion is regarded equally, some players command more respect than others, this why Dereck Fisher and Kobe were named co captains for the Lakers under Phil Jackson and not Gasol, their second best player.

On Leadership

KnicksFE - I am struggling to get your point as it relates to the New York Knicks.

Mike Woodson don't need no steenkin' "go-between."
