Knicks by 4 in a close one!

Amar'e with 22, 9, and 2 dunks!

Shump with 4 steals!!

Melo, the slump continues, 12 points on 4-12, but he drops 7 dimes and grabs 10 boards!!

This is arguably the most important game of the season for the Knicks! A Bucks win would put them just 0.5 games behind us for 8th spot!

Bucks are surging, 7-3 over last 10!

A win for Knicks would put us 2.5 games ahead of Bucks, some strong room to breathe!!

I hope they don't push it with Amar'e... this game is obviously important. But it would be catastrophic if he really hurt himself. Maybe have him come off the bench in an 'in case of emergency' situation?

And the media could be blowing this up..could be some stiffness cause of the sudden weight loss..either way hey seem very nonchalant about it..

He plays when his back is loose. Why let him sit and tighten up?

Guys have to play with injury and team will likley take precaution to some degree.

If he sits for two weeks to rest, then loses his conditioning then he is also prone to injury. I figure it takes a week to get some of that back. So if we let him rest, we could lose like 3 weeks. By then, we could be done.

Play him. If it gets worse, then you shut him down for while. Dem the breaks!

Do you ever tire of being right all the time? It's got to be a heavy burden to bear...

I'm more concerned with Lin's sore knee (despite hysterical rumors to the contrary, we are going nowhere with BDiddy in the starting lineup) and Jort's lack of burn.

I want to see
our improved version of DLee
hitting the occasional backbreaking 3
and helping Captain Tyson play actual D.

good point... but I was thinking more along the lines of if the team is competitive/winning, to not play him at all

it would be nice to get Lin some rest... he's so important and this is a tough year to be, essentially, a rookie starter

I got that. Amare has been a beast the last two weeks and it sucks his back might pull him down a bit.

Maybe that Melo fellow steps it up tonite.

All Stars do that. Im rooting for melo to live up to his Starphuck billing.

I'd love nothing more than for his play to irradicate the "Starphuch" association from the trade.

We gave up to get him. Let Melo make the trade justified!

Go Knicks!

Lets hope Monta and Jennings are not driving the Jeep!

Instead:

I don't really trust Amar'e when he says his back is okay- he always tries to underplay the negative. I still can't believe the organisation let him play in the Boston series last season- when are they going to learn?

Also why are the Knicks so secretive when it comes to injuries? Eg why couldn't they just say TD hadn't fully recovered from his soldier surgery? Why so secretive about Jared Jeffries knee, or the status of Melo's wrist?

Anyway, back to the topic- this game is vital, which makes it even more frustrating that the Bucks seem to play better against us than any other team. Expect the standard big Vs Knicks game from the otherwise poor Brandon Jennings. Ilyasova also seems to become a 90% shooter vs us (I'm only exagerrating slightly- he shot 69.2% FG, and 66.7% 3Pt vs us in the last game. Also Ellis had been very quite since landing with the Bucks- I expect he'll choose tonight to explode.

We need to win this one so badly, but I'm not confident- no JJ, a potentially injured Amar'e (even if the backs okay, he'll be a bit more tentative for fear of injuring it again), and a sore knee-d Lin. BD has hamstring and back issues, Chandler has wrist issues- we ain't in good shape.

Now, more than ever, we need Melo to step up on the offensive end- but I really don't know if he can or will. I'm going be stressed as hell watching this game!
