There is no way that any of the many free agents on this team will come back.
All these guys loved MDA and had his back. You think they want to play for Melo? Or Dolan?

I'm guessing Amar'e and Tyson will ask for trades.

What a pathetic day in the long history of pathetic days for this franchise.

F@@@CCCCK YOU, DOLAN

I will certainly miss Amare. Maybe he can take a 10 dollar buyout - I won't go higher than 25!

I am hoping Lin will end up wherever MDA is coaching next season.

MDA and Lin can make magic happen in the NBA.

Jeremy is restricted and Tyson and Amare are under contract. Those 3 arent going anywhere and the others arent worth tears.

you guys have heard about trade demands, right?

and what makes you think Lin will be matched by the geniuses at the garden. you really think he's gonna look that good without MDA's system?

get ready for Baron Davis to be the starting PG under Woodson.

you think Lin will be re-signed?

please. his numbers will go way down. what a pathetic piece of **** joke this franchise is.

@ChrisMannixSI

Scouts telling me this coaching change should benefit Carmelo Anthony immediately. Woodson's offense heavy on isolation, two-man game, misdirection.
Jeremy Lin, not so much. One scout says Baron Davis's skills fit better. Another says change "probably going to cost Lin millions in new contract."

Agreed

Knicks will have Tyson and J.Lin (Thank god)
MSG isnt foolish enough to lose Lin whom will benefit with a full new 82 gm season

Amare needs to be traded to LAL for P.Gasol

Kobe can use Amare' scoring ability whenever Amare decides to hoop

Gasol will give NY low post presence, blocks shots
plays lot of D and be tough with Tyson to make a fierce front line whom will thrive in Da'Garden next yr

Lin is a 2nd year player. He isnt going anywhere he just isnt going to be starting much longer. Not a big deal. He will likely be starting next year and Davis will be gone.

I cannot believe that some are trying to blame Lin for this. Yes, the league caught up with him. He is still performing at a decent level for a 2nd year player.

I am guessing we see:

Davis
Smith
#7
Stat
Chandler

Get ready for ISO ball. The ball movement is history.

Lin isn't going anywhere. He is restricted and we own him. Fields loves NY and I think he still want to stay. Jaered Jeffries? Oh well.

Bring back Fields along with S.Novak, Lin with Melo; I dont mind Jeffries at this pt if he's cheap $$
Get some real PFs help if Amare isnt going to be dealt for Gasol (I love)
Amare got a tough contract

He isnt same player he can say or be TEAM all he wants
for $$$ he gets for underperforming in as much critical categories what's use ? of having this type of player. Tired of him
He gotta go worse than MDA

I still believe Carmelo was the person who fought for Lin to get an opportunity to play. I remember the knicks playing a game (not sure if it was Houston) at the end of January and the beginning of February where Lin had a fantastic game. The pg spot at the time was a train wreck. TD was playing terribly that game, and I was hoping that he would've given the kid another shot. What does MDA do? He doesn't play the kid at all the next couple of games (one of those games was to the Lakers who trashed us).

Melo and MDA we know they didn't get along, which is evident. Dantoni didn't put Lin in there hoping for anything special. After the Knicks vs Nets point post show, MDA spoke as if he never saw the guy play before. I think someone got into MDA ears, and I believe that person was Melo.

I remember reading another article with an un-named source, and they said that Melo saw something in Lin and needed a shot to show what he got. Me personally I like Melo. I think people after Melo way too much. This season isn't an ordinary season. Similiar to the 99 Knicks team in their short season. I just think we have to relax and give our team a chance. To many people are already jumping on board.

I still believe the Knicks can still move up the six seed. If that happened they will go onto the second round.

Actually, in that Lin thread I started it is pretty clear that he can leave. First, he needs to sign the QO for the team to be able to offer him a two year deal at the MLE. But, he doesn't have to accept the 2 year offer, he can just stay on the QO and walk after that.
