Jeremy Lin was gonna be CUT by Mike D'Antoni
simple as that
Lin will be a Knick next season
I still believe Carmelo was the person who fought for Lin to get an opportunity to play. I remember the knicks playing a game (not sure if it was Houston) at the end of January and the beginning of February where Lin had a fantastic game. The pg spot at the time was a train wreck. TD was playing terribly that game, and I was hoping that he would've given the kid another shot. What does MDA do? He doesn't play the kid at all the next couple of games (one of those games was to the Lakers who trashed us).
Melo and MDA we know they didn't get along, which is evident. Dantoni didn't put Lin in there hoping for anything special. After the Knicks vs Nets point post show, MDA spoke as if he never saw the guy play before. I think someone got into MDA ears, and I believe that person was Melo.
I remember reading another article with an un-named source, and they said that Melo saw something in Lin and needed a shot to show what he got. Me personally I like Melo. I think people after Melo way too much. This season isn't an ordinary season. Similiar to the 99 Knicks team in their short season. I just think we have to relax and give our team a chance. To many people are already jumping on board.
I still believe the Knicks can still move up the six seed. If that happened they will go onto the second round.
