MDA, you will win a ton of games and your team will be fun to watch, wherever you end up.

Sorry you had to come here and be subject to this crap.

I'll never forget Linsanity.

Good luck Mike, this organization didn't have the balls or brains to go right by you... the constant changes and undermining.... leaving here will make your life and career easier.. I loved linsanity, I loved what you had going on last year before dolan tore it to pieces... good luck..

Guy was never give the time to have a chance! At least you pulled Linsanity out of your arse. 2 weeks that were better than the last 10 years of Knick basketball.

I'm , and I'm looking at the heap of cash & goodwill Lin & his system of non-stars made for the organization in less than 2 weeks. Linsanity is 's calling card, might as well leave before everyone forgets about it.

I've criticized you for your defensive philosophy, your lack of flexibility, your inability to coach certain kinds of players.

But I applaud your action today, as I am sure you told Dolan to suck it, maybe not in those words.

I'm sure you will get another shot somewhere, and have time to prove you might not be a great coach, but you are one really good one.

Best wishes,

Give MDA a tiddy tad bit of credit for Jeremy Lin
Give Lin credit for then saving D'Antoni job

Don't shed tears for Mike $24 mil 4yrs of $$$loot
and knick aggravations for fans base

You take on NY Town media and their town they don't support you in your time of need (bad)

to be honest reason D'Antoni took low road out the door he could care less for NY. He's quitting
That ain't NewYork

For some strange reason MDA is going to be heralded for past accolades of SUNs and perhaps will get another job next yr soon.
Trust me on that!

He's never ever warmed to NY tradition and love of hoops. He's not going to lose any sleep whatsoever about
anything he did or didnt accomplish in this city.

MDA wasn't the best coach ever, but I liked the guy. He got played by Melo and CAA and Dolan.

This is bullsh!t.

But this day was written in stone the day Donnie was forced out.

This day was written in stone the day Dolan forced the Melo trade over MDA's and Donnie's objections.

RIGHT
recall Melo (poor play) was injured or about to be inactive at Birth of Lin-sanity

Now the fact MDA plays Lin give him some credit but I dont know why rumors about Lin being pushed to play by MELO
or MELO telling mgt. not to sign JR Smith is overlooked.

MDA got endorsement statement from their star.
It took poor Melo to make statement 3 wks back he supports got MDA back
and only did then the lame quiet useless Stoudemire stated same thing when MDA was in papers/media to be fired!

Then LIN was born and the streak

Melo came back, knicks lost early won few lost most
MDA never made remarks to support his star
and Melo got on newspapers every day for "messing up " and not being fit,

While Stoudemire and MDA quietly let MELO get brunt of criticism.
Sure I am no fool to admit Melo deserve some what he got

But its not like Melo Anthony returned 1st week and CHUCKED 20-30 shots a game during the great horrific slide of
Knickerbocker basketball

Stoudemire STINKs
J.Lin fine guard turns ball over too much & poor shot selection (but learning)

Tell it like it is
MDA has some say in the plight and exit out the door

MDA is a good coach. No matter what you Fools say the man knows what he's doing. You put him with a Kyrie Irving or CP3 and watch what he does! Then he can have all of you haterz kiss his ass. Once Dolan got involved and cut off Walsh's balls, I had a feeling something like this would happen this year. I wish him the best.

You give any coach, CP3 they will do well. He was a good guy but whay s it so hard for everyone to admit he did a horrible job here. 121 w's and 167 l's is really bad, regardless of the roster. Also, why does every make excuses for MDa when his record is brought up, but are quick to point out that Melo was 2-8 when he returned yet no mention of the numerous road games vs. top defensive teams?

Glad to see some MDA appreciation. Things didn't work out as well as hoped when he signed on, but the man came for the long run, knowing we'd suck during early stages of the 2010 plan.

He deserved a share of the criticism, but not nearly the amount he received. Best of luck Mike.

Teams that fire their coach in-season don't win championships.
Had enough Melo?
