4. Monta Ellis, G, Warriors
Ellis is a dynamic scorer, but it just isn't working in Golden State and probably never will as long as Ellis and Stephen Curry are in the backcourt together.

The Warriors really need a big man, which makes a deal tough because most GMs aren't willing to trade big for small. But if the Warriors would be willing to take back Amare Stoudemire from the Knicks or if the Hawks were willing to swap Smith for Ellis, I think there's a deal to be had.

-------------------------

Ford says he's a likely trade chip, which we obviously already know. Would you deal Stoudemire for Ellis, and say, Biendries?

I hope we stay as far away as possible from him. He's not a dynamic scorer. He's an inefficient chucker.

I'd hate to lose Amar'e because of what he means to this team (in spite of his poor play this season, he is a leader here).

Also, Ellis is another ball dominant guy who doesn't play well with others.

But if we could work a three-way trade of Amar'e to GSW, Ellis to ATL and Josh Smith to NYK, then you've got something cooking.

Put Amare next to Dlee as the 5??

You thinking Ellis or Josh Smith Here?

Ellis next to Joe Johnson in ATL?

Josh SMith and Dlee as center in ATL?

Amare in ATL (not happening)?

Where do you think the knicks are in this?

I want see:

JR
Ellis
Melo
Davis
Jorts

all on the court at the same time and watch head explode!

Well, what you do is you get Ellis, see, and then we have to be patient.

I'd be up for it if the Knicks could figure out a way to bring back Lee as well as Ellis

Amar'e and Fields work financially... obviously the Knicks would have to add to it for it to make sense basketball wise

Lin/Ellis/Melo/Lee/Chandler

I re-read the original post. If the Hawks are willing to trade Josh Smith, I'd jump at the chance to trade Amar'e for Smith and Kirk Hinrich's corpse

Replace Jorts with Eddy Curry.

Replace Jorts with Eddy Curry.

Eddy not funny anymore.

Jorts airballs from the corner really opens things up.

Offensive rebounds increase because most would be "long".

IM thinking JR and Ellis would have too many back court violations fighting over the ball.

Only one man can coach that group.....the Return of Don NelsoN

Here is a mother of a trade. 3 Team Deal

NY Knicks
Outgoing : Melo, Stat
Incoming : Dwight, JJ Reddick, Kwame Brown

Orlando Magic
Outgoing : Dwight, JJ Reddick
Incoming : Melo, Monta Ellis

GS Warriors
Outgoing : Monta Ellis, Kwame Brown
Incoming : Stat

I think this helps everybody. Kwame is contract filler and Reddick would be great alongside Lin and the twin towers.

EDIT: We might have to send some money to GS to cover Amare's contract.

I agree Smith would be great.

Exactly. If we could get Smith....I'd like that.

I would trade for smith too. He is an elite defender. With him, chandler, and Shumpert we should have a top-5 defense and with Melo and Lin, we should still be able to score.

Trust the Process

I'd be with it....Josh Smith knows the defense and is a more engaged player compared to Amare....it would eliminate Amare camping out in the corner looking to coast aka be the stretch 4....Amare likes to say dumb **** like "its time for the old Amare to come back"....I'm sick of that ****. I want guys to play ball. I think Josh Smith wants to play ball.
