Last night he was rough IMO of the Knicks. I understand that he was a Cavs hire but I thought he went H.A.M. on the Knicks. Maybe i am missing some hate he have left over but Reggie Miller has said better things. I don't want to misqoute him so i won't put exact words but several times he refferred to What little defense the Knicks Play, Lin is a turn over king, all the callls go the knicks way in the 4th.... I don't know what i expected but he went over the line in my books.

Bernard sucks on the air.

He sounds like a boring grandpa.

I hope this isn't a permanent move.

That was not a Cavs feed last nite on League pass.

Bernard was on MSG.

We all want him to succeed and do well. I thought he was ok. I don't know how much experience he has.

If he is green, then I understand why he was so stiff. Good content though.

Content is there but the delivery kills your joy.

He is better suited for Golf, maybe, than the HIGH FLYING KNICKS!

Bernard will get better with experience.

He will not waste the opportunity. If Bernard could rehab a shredded knee... (after the experts, including the Knicks brass, said he was done) back to all star status... he can certainly learn how to speak into a microphone.

Hate to say it, because Bernard was my all-time favorite Knick, but he sucks the life out of the telecast. Just dull, no personality, a few insights, but doesn't provide the color to the play by play Breen provides. Can't believe I'm saying this...I'd rather hear Clyde LOL

King knows his stuff. No issues there. Boring as all get up but he knows his stuff. Hopefully earl is right and he learns to add a little inflection or some excitement from time to time. In the meantime he makes Shaq's montone sound like the Boston pops

Yea, but Shaq only does TNT/NBA TV roundtable with those other schmucks. We have to suffer through Bernard for like 2 hours plus

To be fair, the TNT/NBA TV guys are entertaining.

blob nailed it... he knows what he's talking about but he's hardly a wordsmith and his delivery is lame. Could get better w/ practice.

Is he worse than Mark Jackson was?

Do this: Listen to John Andriese, and then listen to BK. Will change your opinion of just about anyone's broadcast deficiencies.

Your auditory taste is obviously in your mouth. And we all know that's full of grape nuts.

Obviously, anyone would need to suffer from years of mental retardation to even approach the level of Andriese.

Trust me, I've tried, and I can't do it. <=======Proof positive.

I'm with Bip on this. I don't care if an analyst doesn't have a stellar personality. Bernard knows his stuff. I'm interested in what he has to say.

I love Johnny "Hoops" Andriese.

He used to be paired up with Marv on MSG in the 90s—i thought they were great.

Bernard King makes some great points. As I've pointed out in the game thread, his take on switching on D makes sense. He basicly said that it gives the opposition a different look and that way the opponent cannot get comfortable with what we are throwing at them. To me its a solid point and it shows the other side of the"opponents will always take advantage of the mismatch" coin. Against the Cavs I saw, I think it was Davis, fronting one of their big man when they tried to take advantage of the mismatch and us getting a stop on that possession.

Bernard ain't about it, though.

Same here... although I can't stand listening to Marv anymore.
