A) D'Antoni doesn't emphasize defense
B) Lin saved D'Antoni's job
C) Knicks can finish as high as 3rd in the east but have no shot against Miami or Chicago

Thinking is definitely not his strong suite.

I tend to not take what CB says seriously.

Thanks Captain Obvious Barkley! At least he gave us the 3rd seed, can't hate on that, thought he'd give us the 7th or 8 seed at most.

I think he summarized the situation very well and I think he accurately portrayed a coach who has been very stubborn about his offense to the point of leaving a job and turning down a job to do things his way.

I can't stand Chuck. But he's got it summed up about right this time, though I think we have a shot to beat Chicago. We will probably get whupped by Miami.

I've never liked Barkley on air. He's gotten better but he's so full bluster and really doesn't always think thru his comments. In the case of the Knicks I think he's got some fair points, but he still isn't that well informed about what's really going on with this team. Still you can see how he's lightened up on his usual bashing of the team. He can sense that this team is dangerous so it's time to start hedging and being more complementary just in case the team starts to really win big.

1) Knicks are a top 5 defensive team so please spare me the MDA digs on defense
2) So what? Allan Houston's floater and friendly bounce saved Jeff Van Gundy's CAREER. This is how sports works.
3) Not really that impressive an observation. As far as Im concerned Knicks need to win a playoff series before they prove anything which is fine. Since the playoffs arent here yet we judge by what we see.

i think we can compete against miami. remmeber we faced miami when they were on full rest and we weren't. also melo isn't 100% yet and lin has been playing so many minutes with all the injuries. i have a feeling that if we played the heat on full rest and injury free it would be different

Thats because the team dynamic went from a train wreck to one of great promise with emergence of the golden one.

Knicks play will change minds, not on paper potential.

We read everything knicks, and watch the games. Barkley does not.

His opinion is not important.

BTW, I enjoy the guy on TV. He is not a legit commentator as much as he is an on-air-personality. And as such, he is fun to watch.

Remember, these guys add a lot of fluff.

Im sure every team they speak negative on has their fans thinking "this guy don't know jack"!

What have we seen: the team was awful and deserved every bit of negative press until the miricle bestowed us.

I wish he had answered Oaks accusations. Would have loved to hear him answer Oak calling him fake for being a jerk and everything but, a role model even going so far as to yell on national TV that he isn't a role model and that its your job to raise your kids. True but, he said it like an arrogant prick.

These days he sits on his high horse calling out other players for not being good role models. Same with guys like Barry and Kerr acting like they knew how to spell defense when they played

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I agree. The no defense thing is getting old. The only reason the Knicks are not 10 games over .500 is their offense. The defense this year has been enough to be one of the 5-8 teams in the league.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
