May I have your attention, please?

I'd like to request the presence of Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire. I'll wait...

Still waiting...

Please, let me know when they arrive, because we have games to win. And what the hell was that? You have got to be kidding me that was the best game we could get from our "stars", right? I can't believe we just played the Heat and all the attention will go to Lin's bad game when we have two stars that have been through this type of wars before and simply never arrived.

Those were the emptiest stats from both players. While you have James and Wade forcing the action and leading their charge, you have Amar'e and Melo practically going through the motions. I know Melo just came back from injury, but he looks healthy enough to lead this team. Amar'e, if he needs time off, then take it but sometimes we look better with Jeffries out there than with him, and that is saying A LOT.

Lin was stopped, but it took a monumental defensive effort from Miami to do so. What's Melo's and Amare's excuse?

I agree. it took their whole team to stop lin. we need our main guys to pick up the slack. Now i think they will. the all-star break should hep. I want both melo and lin to skip the all star stuff this weekend and just rest and practice

People forget that Carmelo and Amare are still trying to get back into a groove. If the lack of production continues after the All-Star break, then by all means, get concerned.

Amare just looks off all the time. He is finishing worse than Jeffries. When that happens there has to be something more to it.

MDA has seen Amare perform from Phoenix to NY -- longer than any of us Knicks fans have. He sees what we're seeing, but is not saying. Has he ever been asked in the post game? Some say it's additional weight. But his mobility also seems to be down a lot.

Melo got to the paint at will against LeBron. He just couldn't finish at the basket because Joel Anthony was swatting everything he put up. His jumpshot is still iffy but it's still improving from the last two games.

7/20 FG isn't as bad as it looks when 5 of your lay-ups are blocked

And this is where the Knicks need more work. Both Lin and Melo can get to the basket and draw at least two other guys in, which means a big man near the basket or somebody else outside will be free. That pass to them must be made every once in a while to keep the center guessing.

To be fair they were opened and Lin just did not hit them. We also know that neither one of their jumper is working yet for different reasons. I think a little has to do with them and lin is not used to them yet.

Harrelson would have made a huge difference this game, drawing a big out the paint and helping Melo get easier looks in the post.

Not concerned with Melo, but very concerned with Stoudemire. Looks like this team is best building around Lin, Melo, and Chandler. I am very happy with that core and feel like they will fit well together over time. I would love Stoudemire to get his groove back, but we may be better with a stretch-4 instead for this team.

If the stars go off some here call them selfish. I like it when Amare and Melo are being selfish. As for Lin Miami treated him as if he were Jordan. Next time the Knicks have use Lin as a decoy.

At the end of the day Lin, Melo, and Chandler are who the team is built around. Put top shooters at the PF and SG and you have a well-balanced, championship lineup. Send Stat to Orlando for some combination of Turk, Reddick, Anderson, etc.

Yeah, it takes a year in order to build chemistry and of course the lack of chemistry is the reason both don't have a jump shot anymore.

Watching them two play, especially Melo, is just disheartening. I wouldn't be disappointed if we trade one of them and then the other one next year if things don't change.

INEXCUSABLE play from them two.

I thought the effort last night was fine, we just didnt hit shots. Lin/Davis combined like 2-20 or something nutso. Knicks played tough defense, weathered some storms from Mia and fought to stay in the game. Heat have chemistry, Knicks are finding it, but with efforts like last night I have no doubt it will come
