Hey, man. You had some games here. Dropped some buckets for us.

For a while last season, we thought you were an NBA player.

Best luck to you in whatever country you end up.

Ouch!

Yeah, I was thinking while watching the Knicks blow out the Hawks: Who will play during garbage time? My first thought was JJ3, but I could not come up with any other names. Then I thought of Douglas.

How much does it say about MDA's faith in TD that when Baron ran out of gas in the fourth quarter, he went back to Lin -- even though we were up by 20 points with less than 6 minutes left, and we have Miami the next night.

If TD can't get into a game like that, I think it proves he is all but done in NY.

I used to like TD, but unfortunately he does not bring much to the table. Yes, he can get hot from the field sometimes, but no way is he anywhere near as good as Fields, Shump or JR.

I think TD is not fully recovered from his shoulder injury. The kids looked like a solid Jason Terry type scorer last year. If he can recover his shot, he will play again in the NBA. At this point, we cannot give him the minutes to improve his stock, so we should just trade him for a second round pick. However, I think by next year, TD will be able to remind everyone that he is still a good player. He looks so bad here because we were trying to turn him into a pg, and simply is not one. But you make him your 7th man and tell him to focus on scoring and defense, and I think he will be a great role player.

Like the shoes.

You need people like TD to make you appreciate someone really good. Maybe he could be our Vinnie the Microwave...oh wait, sorry, that position's been filled...

This post is in poor taste.

First off, TD is not dead.

Secondly he is injured and apparently going thru some tough personal issues. The TD we have seen this year does not resemble his first 2 years.

Let the man heal and get better. He has skills but played out of position. Look at Shumpert at PG vs SG. I would bet the same will be true for TD.

I still have faith he can be a positive contributor. He's a good kid and plays hard. He was horrible this season so far, but his first 2 seasons he was great. He's in a tough spot but I think he'll be a good NBA player...either on this team or elsewhere.

Source?

I wish him well as a person but I do not ever want to see TD take the floor as a Knick.

I agree, but just not at PG or facilitating. And he must work on his horrible DEF which is actually his brain.
On a a serious note, we should have looked to rebuild his confidence last night, to see where he stands, and give the kid just a boost of confidence.
Playing Jerome Jordan more with TD could make them work that much harder, but I guess Dantoni wants to see the chemistry with the lineups of the 1st/2nd units.

TD biggest problem is not the shot but the head...
His bbal IQ is so low that not only PG but simple NBA guard role is too much for him.
His defense and at the end his health are also suffering from his brain dead efforts to run through the walls.
He cannot recognize when to fall off his man and when play close.
His court vision is tunnel vision and he is passing to the open space...
I doubt he will be able to play in any foreign league, especially in Europe.

I see where you guys are coming from, probably not the best choice.

But I hope you will understand the intended meaning: rest in peace at the end of the bench, because he's buried there with no chance of coming out.

With Balkster gone, who else would you write in as a Dantony doghouse resident? You know we have to have one on the roster.

Bibby doesn't qualify, too old.

The RIP is a little harsh.

Yes, can we get the title changed? I thought TD died. Not cool at all.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Marburyand1Crossover, can you give us a legit reference on Toney Douglas' death? This is just sad news. Hope you posted this because you want people to remember him as a decent player.

I hope he never sees any PT as a Knick again unless we are up by 35 with 4 minutes to go.
