Relationships.

How well you get along with people is determined largely by how they make you feel. Do you feel good around a person or do you feel bad? This decides if you will keep their company.

Carmelo Anthony makes the Knicks feel bad. They might not want to admit it. Fans might not want to admit it. But he kills flow.

On some level that we can't pinpoint, he kills chemistry.

I won't even mention Baron, I think that one is pretty clear.

The relationship the guys have on the court, during the game. This is what suffers when Carmelo is out there.

His figure is too imposing, his presence is too strong.

It smells like fish out there, man. It's fishy.

Someone's gotta go. I'd rather keep Amar'e because he's more of a team dude. He's a genuinely good team player.

Look it's not necessarily Melo hate. But with what we have, how the team is built, Melo is the odd guy out, sad to say.

You compare the team on Sunday to tonight? It's not a team, you FEEL this when you watch the game and everyone who tells you they don't get a different FEELING from this team with Carmelo is lying to you and to themselves.

Thats a legit point. Nobody is bashing melo but if you look at it he just doesn't fit d'antoni's offense

I hate to say it, haters will tell you its up to coach to make it work. At this point, he just got back so I want to see what can do to make it work.

Shit, man.

just had it working for 8-1 and wins against Mavs and Lakers!

I mean, at some point you gotta look to the player to make it work.

I say give Lin a chance to work it out. Reality is Melo hasn't played much with Lin.

And we still made it a game at the end despite playing poorly all game. They were a team to the final whistle.

Tonight, when the going got tough, the team fell apart.

THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE.

If Lin can grab him by the throat and beat some sense into him, he should do it tonight.

JR hadn't played with Lin at all and he came out like he played in New York for the last 10 years. Jet lagged.

Its "hate" to say that after one game with this new roster. If he can't make it work by the end of the season then the Knicks need to reevaluate. This game wasn't lost because of coaching.

Tonight wasn't on Anthony. He really didn't force anything. Took his shots in the flow. Got hacked without getting calls. If anything he maybe should have tried to take over in the third/fourth.

melo and lin looked fine tonight, this game had nothing to do with how they played together. if melo isn't rusty and converts on like 4 out of the 6 layups he had, this game is a much different story. i thought they played fine together, especially melo, he made quick decisions with the ball and didn't go out of the offense. the nets made a million 3's which put the pressure on the knicks. tough to win these types of games, no matter who you are.

It might to some degree, like not calling the right plays but I agree if he can't figure this out by end of the year then as an offensive genius something is missing.

the nets just got really hot tonight. i men they never beat the knicks so they had some luck on tehir side. also the refs didn't call any fouls on the, I think we only had like 7 FT by the end of 3rd or something it was so bad

Melo's presence is huge because he causes Lin to basically feed him the ball instead of taking it to the rim. Walker, Fields, and Lin are your active players who hustle and make the ball go around.

Melo is looking too much for his and Amare's shots. I'm all for Melo to provide scoring off the bench without Amare in the same lineup

I think Melo should have shot more. I think he is trying to fit in to much.
