I know we need a back up PG(lets hope Baron Davis can be the guy for 12-14 minutes) we really could use a solid back p PF/C type and I think one of those two guys can be had.

Wish we could get Andre Miller but I can't think off the bat what they would take that we can afford to give up.
Hopefully Davis will work out.

If the folks in Sacto are on something (Thomas starting over Fredette?!? Wow!)... maybe they can be convinced that Tony Douglas is the second coming of Bobby Jackson... and that they need another Bobby Jackson...

then yes, it'd be nice having a strong, athletic, power big like Hickson.

Man we're developing Jorts and Jordan, why do we need someone else's PF/C right now? I'm really done with all the change for this season. We've got capable players already here. I really liked how Jorts was coming along.

With Jorts and potentially Baron coming into the fold, I think we are set. Between Chandler/Jefferies/Jorts we are gonna get some quality minutes at the center position.

If I am the Knicks I am ready to stand pat. The roster is developing and could be peaking at the right time.

Where would the minutes come from if they get another big when Jorts come back. I think Jorts will be the perfect compliment to STAT because he can stretch the floor on the offense but defend the better post player to hide STAT.

The only real change that I think we should make is waive Mike Bibby and sign a healthy PG that can give us 12-15 minutes in case Davis has trouble down the road. Unless the team is confident in Bibby later on, which doesn't show since right now he is available and still doesn't back uo Lin, I think we'd have to do that.

It doesn't have to be a known name, just a healthy guard that has played in a similar sistem (NBDL?).

Other than that, I agree with nixluva that we are set. At backup PF and C we have Jeffries, Novak and Jorts. If needed we also have Jordan, so we are ok here.

I'd trade Jorts and TD for Hickson in a minute. I get what Briggs is saying which is to grab him and develop him while his stock is down.

Hickson is on a bad team with little leadership on it. He could benefit from what he have. He has AMare type athletic skill.

I would hope TD could restart his career and maybe provide some stability to SAC.

Im not on the Jorts bandwagon. He was a surprise because in our time of need he rose to the occasion and did not screw it up. His long range skill is something we don't really want our 4 to do is it? I think he is not very strong in the paint offensively. He is an awful finisher.

Hickson can be a monster and has the talent.

Hickson would be more about developing him. He gives us another athletic MDA type player.

This is the first time that my brain can remember being content with the team we have.

I don't think we need more players, different players.

This is it.

I would not count TD out just yet. Lin is a wonderful story and I am just as pleased as any of you. There is not as much pressure on Douglas ATM since Lin's emergence. He needs to get his swag back. The Knicks backcourt is vastly improved but there is a lot of basketball left to play. Still think he has had health issues and looking for his resurgence just as last year after the ALL Star break and the extended rest. My wife is even following Lin "He's so little and he just goes right in among all those bigger guys." But if TD goes rather see him in SA.

Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."

Amen to that. And we aren't even at full strength yet. Grunwald is doing a great job building this roster.

Wonder if we can somehow grab Hickson or Thompson from Sacremento
