Michael Kay has been on Dantoni for waiting 20+ games to play Lin. I wonder is he will bring it up to him. Kay tends to be a little two faced. He'll criticize someone before and directly after the interview. But during the interview he is all buddy buddy. Also he relies on the media for his Knicks opinions. It works well for him when he has someone like Hahn or Hubie Brown but not so good with Steven A, Charles barkley and the rest of the media

You might disagree with his philosophy, but you know you're always getting an honest answer from Mike.

He basically shot down their Lin and Novak criticism - Novak isn't contributing if he isn't being set up properly, and Lin wasn't given the chance to play early on becaus of our team crisis, condensed season and lack of practice time.

Any hot juicy topics? Did he ask if Lin was in the same class as CP3 and Deron? I hope he did

They talked about Lin a lot. First they asked if he was a fluke, which MDA most definitely didn't think he was and that he thinks he has the opportunity to become a really good point guard, his shot just needs improvement. Then Kay asked about the delay of Lin's outbreak, which MDA thought was because of his efforts to develop chemistry, with little room for error and getting TD going at the PG spot. Also the lack of practice time - Lin had to be on the sidelines at practice cuz of said chemistry problems needed to obviously fixed.

Novak no playing time because of the matter of distributing being a problem, fixed now.

He basically said that Lin could very well be the piece they needed to fill the PG spot, and that it greatly improves the team, since it's tough for any team to succeed without good PG play. And that it's just a matter of guys coming together.

One thing I liked the most was that he repeatedly pointed out that all guys are on the same page and that all guys wants to win badly.

And then he hinted at Melo being the one to adapt to the team's play when he comes back, talking about Melo playing point forward in the stretches with Lin out of the game.

that's at least at the top of my high head right now.

- When asked if Lin can keep this up, said probably not the 28 and 10, almost no one can do that. Can he continue to play an important and meaningful role on the team? Absolutely.

- Going to have to find a happy medium between the up tempo play and Melo's isolation. Offense will probably run through Melo more often when Lin is taking a breather. Still plans to play Lin 35-40 minutes a night.

- Guys are in the right places with Lin on the floor. Novak can plan now that Lin can create the shot. Before Lin, "He wasn't going to get out there for his defensive prowess." Also commented on missing Tyson being open 15 times one game B.L.

- Was told Baron was looking good on the court the other day, not sure when he'll be back, but just another guy to help this team later on.

- "Are you suffering from 'Linsanity'?"
"I might be benefiting from it, but not suffering."

"Has Lin saved the season?"
"Might not be all he saved."

- Not concerned about his job security and wasn't letting it affect the staff. "You can only die once."

i think mike gets a bad rap. when he got here he was given a bunch of overpriced stiffs that isiagh had accumalted. last year we finally had some talent and then mid year he is given a completely new team who ran a much slower paced offense. Im not a d'antoni fan but i think he is a pretty good coach who gets too much of the blame

Why did it take him 4 years to figure out that he needs a PG to run the offense?

Him? He knew all along, but it took YOU four years to comprehend the obvious. But I sometimes doubt it has fully sunk in yet.
