Let's all take a moment and reflect on the smart move Grunny made by trading CB for Chandler. We basically traded an old has-been PG for an elite defensive center and Jeremy Lin. Wow, smh @ good luck for the Knicks. Does that ever happen?

P.s. Very sorry for Chauncey. A class act and doesn't deserve this torment at the end of his career.

Maybe not. A spot just opened up for JR on the Clips

Even better for the Knicks.

horrible news for chauncey, a torn achilles is tough enough to come back from in the nba, but at age 36??? i dunno about that.

gotta love chauncey, dude is a pro's pro and it seemed like he was a perfect fit for that clippers team. wish him nothing but the best in his recovery.

I tore my Achilles at 36....came back in 4 months...won a championship league a year later...it's possible to come back because he doesn't use his athleticism to score....but his first step will be slower.

blk, in no way am i trying to diminish what you did but.. you can't compare what you did to the nba. unless of course you played in the nba

Looks like he is done. Not likely to come back from this at his age. I feel badly for him, and glad he wasn't a Knick at the time. He's a really solid guy, and pretty smart, too. He'll have a nice second career.

Yeah, it's sad. I hope he can come back but I wouldn't expect it.

The articles I've read say it's the achilles. How do you know it's the ACL?

Am I alone in thinking that coaching, maybe even being a head coach could be in his future?

no... he seems to have the head and temperment for it. Not to mention, all the coaches that gave up on him before he became Mr. Bigshot. I think he'd be an excellent fit to coach a young team that might struggle to take that next step

Standings are turning. Two in a row with one of those against Utah, the 5th seed in the West.

There were a few early articles that said acl, don't know how they could have missed it.
