Gallo got a chip fracture in his ankle, will miss at least 4-6 weeks.

Billups might be out longer with a ruptured, torn or severely sprained Achilles.

don't like to see guys get injured, but it seemed weird to me that two notable ex-Knicks got injured in the same night. hope they play again soon.

well melo is hurt a lot too and denver still has a good record so it doesn't make it all great yet. Until we are a few games over .500 at least

Is Chandler restricted? My guess is Denver keeps him now if that is the case.

yeah, Wilson is RFA. think they would've signed him anyway, but yeah, this makes getting him back a priority for Denver.

Hate to see anyone get hurt, but hopefully this quells all the Gallo love on these forums for a little while, and puts the focus back on the steadily improving team we already have. Was making me sick to my stomach all the love for someone not in a Knicks uniform.

why he was a good knick who gave his all. No probelm with that at all considering we haven't exactly been stellar since gallo and others left

Billups on the otherhand, with a torn achilles at his age, might be done for good. Looks like we dodged a bullet on that one.. imagine if we kept him and didn't have Chandler?

It was smart not to keep Billups. He looked awful by the end of his stint here and he was due to get a mega payout.

yeah, i hate to say it, but i didn't think he could stay healthy. you look at tyson tonight... even though he had foul trouble, getting alley oop dunks and huge blocks. it was a good move. (made better by the fact that we might finally have a point guard.)

Billups is\was on his last legs, even before we amnestied him. You do that for Tyson Chandler 11 times out of 10. Now, not saying you enter camp with an unproven backcourt, but if you can get a defensive game changer in their prime, you do it.

Possibly, but the dude at this point is made of glass. It was only a matter of time before something this happened. He had a hard enough time staying healthy at the end of last year

Damn straight. I never though about him getting hurt as he is in great condition. And seeing the effect Tyson has out there I do prefer him (see how Utah went inside in the 3rd when he was out?). Heck, I much prefer Lin over Billups anyway.

And we'd be watching Bibby pile up two assists a night and we'd still be pining away for Baron.
And Shump would be on the IR with microfracture surgery.
