This team just needs to add some talent as we're discussing. We've got Lin getting in the mix and hopefully he takes some of the pressure off. Jorts will be back. Hopefully Baron and maybe JR. That will make things easier on ATM so they don't have to do everything. |

Their big 3 could all create their own shot, and they had an all-star PG in Rondo, one of the and deepest benches in the league to get them over the top. You're right their big 3 had help but they also brought more to the table. Stat and Chandler rely mainly on their explosiveness to get the job done, take that away and this team will decline. I believe that decline will be enough to take the Knicks out of serious contention, especially with teams like the Thunder and the Clips rising to the top. You want to talk about prime? Those teams will be in it in a couple of seasons, not us. Better to try and win while they're all still relatively healthy and while Stat and Chandler's knees still have some life left in them. I don't see them playing like this in a couple of seasons, not with their knees. |

There's a reason that teams passed up on Stat's big contract and it was because of his knees. I just don't believe they will be the same players after another couple of seasons. I'm not saying they will be done but I don't believe they will be good enough to get us over the hump unless they do what LJ did when his back problems developed and change their respective games by becoming better post players. I still believe we can contend if they add the right pieces but I do believe in a couple of seasons we will start to see diminishing returns from both of them. |

I actually agree completely, though, I worry if we will get "a couple of more seasons" out of Amare. I sure hope that is not the case but you kinda feel with him that he can get hurt for good at any time. More than any other players. Its intersting that when Amare was playing great last year, all the threads about being thrilled that we got him and not Bosh. I would take that switch in a NY minute! But, this is it and we can just hope ... |

![]() Nash for less than half a season in a trade when he is a free agent is a tough measure for all involved.
Suns can't be too greedy as Nash has been an icon for the team and bought them great success and revenue. At the same time, if they can get a second round pick they should try. Why? First and foremost if they don't plan on bringing him back then they should buy him out to let him get with a contender or the team of his choice (hope its us!). They owe him that. All good runs come to an end so its likely they are orchestrating his exit as gracefully as possible. Maybe he plays out the season? Nash won't request it cuz he looks bad if he does. Suns don't trade him unless thats what he wants. A buy out is graceful with the statement that they want to play youth and Nash gets to move on. |
