Douglass is beyond regression

I've never seen a recent Knick (youth) whom gets the playing time,
even started, then onto bench and started again and cant play a lick of anything!

This damn kid thinks he going to shoot & hoist shots in to get out of his funk
and oh yes Douglas perhaps leads the NBA in Turnovers per /LESS minutes played

He Stinks, needs to go. Trade him for any 36-37 or 40 yr old active NBA player
Bibby should be playing NOT TD

Trade? What GM would trade for him? We had better chances of trading Currys albatross contract after he had been out for two years. Anyone looking for TD's skills can find better players in the D-League.

Think the Knicks should seriously inquire about the Jared Jack Hornets (Starter) and
even Raptors L.Barbosa.

Though Barbosa isnt a true full PG he's combo and Better than anything Knicks got he's older but does not rely on having ball for scoring and can pass.

Perhaps quicker than ANY Knick guard still at his age.
Barbosa is riding bench getting spot minutes on Raptors team. I'd inquire about him because he can still play a bit as a
stop gap PG until Knicks find legit speedy PG

Andre Miller is in a contract year. Don't know what Denver's plans are, but Miller can still play and is putting up good numbers off the bench this season.

If I'm not mistaken, Knicks picked up TD's player option so he's here another year LOLOL

You are right. I guess the hope is that his shoulder is still messed up. He is a likeable guy with a great work ethic but he is destroying this team on the floor this year.

Where do I sign the "Trade Toney Douglas the hell outta here" Petition?
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I want to get rid of the whole team by the trading deadline, besides Shumpert and Fields and Harrelson.

We now know that it is foolish to draft defense first players with Mike Dantoni as head coach.

I can already see Shumpert heading down this path.

Point guard is NOT for everyone. Although Shumpert was thrown in the role, the rookie has shown more adaptation in one month than the longest tenured Knicks player. That tells us Toney Douglas has limited specific skills that are better suited to a ninth or tenth man. Douglas is not versatile or a quick thinker on offense. He made his bones on defense in college.

No excuses about a shoulder. If you are on the court, you are a target.

Only thing I can think of is the shortened season. He's had spurts before where he's played liked this in the past but this is beyound crazy.

The Answer Man Learns From His Mistakes

CashMoney wrote:Q. Anyone think to why he has regressed?

A. Toney Douglas ia a paint-by-numbers basketball player. Hesitant and cautious. The reason LIN gets so much love is because he shows the courage to get inside. Sure, Jlin will commit errors, but they will be errors that he will correct. Douglas simply makes the same mistake, over and over.

TD has no trade value right now, so getting rid or value for him VIA trade isn't really an option. When Baron comes back we need to shut TD down for a week so he can get his head and his game right because honestly he isn't this bad of a player, he was just asked to do too much and play out of position.

He can still be a scoring option off the bench. Just not a point guard.

If you are not getting better, you are getting left behind.

Players don't regress. The other guys get better. Never underestimate how fast the talent around the league improves. Other teams are NOT standing still, while our guys are playing a game from two years ago. Toney Douglas could be one of those players left in the wake of progress.

By contrast, notice how Landry Fields is managing to make adjustments to his game in his second season. Fields gets it because he is quick study. Landry knows he MUST do more things well than just score. THAT is exactly what makes Fields special and worth keeping for the long haul.

Guy isn't a crap player, he's just being asked to do what he can't do.

He played a role for us before the Melo debauchery, but now he is left in the water and bleeding, the sharks will eat him by morning.

TD can help us but not at PG...He can be the guy who knocks down the open three...Dont ask TD to make decisions for you and he will be ok...TD is a 15 mins off the bench off the ball shooter...We need that...He sucks at PG but we have no choice right now...
