No BD this weekend either. http://twitter.com/Al_Iannazzone

Glad they're both being given some time to heal- no point in rushing them back at all if it leads to worsening injuries

Sorry for those who paid big money to see a good game in Miami.

Espn has a national game and if anyone who is anyone in Miami should be at the game.

I don't think its a blowout. Would not be suprised if game is reasonable and knicks hang tough.

Why? Cuz they have to play together and for the most part MDA has not lost the team.

I understand Melo's decision, but on the biggest game this season?! UGH. Baron out too!

Carmelo Anthony will sit vs. Miami: http://www.thewindyapple.com/2012/01/27/carmelo-antony-will-sit-out-vs-heat/

Baron Davis watch, ruled out for the weekend:http://www.thewindyapple.com/2012/01/27/baron-davis-watch-ruled-out-for-this-weekend/

I live in Miami so when we lose all I can tell all my friends Melo was out but that excuse will only work for so long. I hate Heat fans :/ my brother sold out and became a Heat fan because we no longer live in NY and he hates struggle to watch games and not be able to enjoy going to Home games. I can't sell my Knicks out for the home team. I hated the heat when I was 10 years old in 98 and I still heat them now!!!

Play against Charlotte and Cleveland and not play against the Heat Everyone on the planet knows he should have sat sooner except for him.

The Heat would have destroyed the Knicks so it's pretty wise to seat Melo.

No need to pour gazoline on fire right now, at least Melo's absence will defuse some of the critics.

Smart move, very telling but smart move still.

Melo may have cost us the season.

As well as he was playing pre-injury, he should have sat the games once the injury came instead of playing through it and shooting us out of every game. Instead of listening to the medical staff, he wanted to play hero and ended up hurting us significantly.

Moreover, instead of giving this team a chance to win some of those games (while also giving Melo a chance to get healthy by sitting), we lost 7 out of 8 with Melo chucking away with his messed up wrist. This was handled about as badly as it could have been.

"This is a very cautious situation that we're in. You have to be conservative in terms of using your assets and using them wisely. We're building for the future." - Zeke (I guess not protecting a first round pick is being conservative)

Now this I agree with, although I believe we were a "hurt" team from the beginning with our lack of a pg. Regardless, he should have sat out. After his first off game, he should have realized this wasn't working and rested. The only player who I would let ignore a medical staff is Kobe Bryant. Melo is not Kobe Bryant. I think all of this bashing and calling him selfish is going a little too far. He was trying to be our hero. Unfortunately, he ended up hurting us more than helping us.

I dig that he gave it a good try and played hurt.

I was at the game in Charlotte and he passed and rebounded very well.

I think guarding Lebron and trying to shoot thru an injury is not a good idea.

Problem is Billy Walker is his back up and thats just not gonna get it done.

Or do they go with JJ2?

JJ2 at SF? How about Landry? Iman or TD at SG?

Shift du Crockett and Tubbs

Lin - finally gets some burn with the big kids, "too err is human - to make the bounce pass is divine"

Shumpert - slides over for defense and catches at least one alley-oop from Lin at the rim

Fields - now THAT is what a point forward looks like, he is spotted on the back door play more than once, Landry has 8 assists

Amar'e - smiles

Chandler - vs Bosh is fun to watch.

I have my fingers crossed. Thing that sux is we don't have Easy E to slow down LeBron.

What's everyone gonna say if we somehow win this game by winning the rebound battle, Amar'e getting hot, guards hitting outside shots, and watching fat Eddy turn it over 5 xs in 5 minutes of play? Trade Melo?

I know chances are slim, but I'll still watch start to finish.

Is Wade even playing?

The best we can hope for is that Carmelo and Baron save detailed notes on how Lebron makes his running buddies better.

Can players have iPads on the bench?

Melo is smart dude.
he knows how to minimize the embarrassment.
I think it is good decision for the team.
We will have nice excuse for the blowout.
