Time to get to work boys. Young, feisty players who will be hungry to prove themselves on the court and turn this team around.

JJ and J-LIN IN.

D'ANTONI OUT.

I don't think he will play him either. However, I don't think Grunwald is going to waive him either. I think the Knicks see both of these guys as a part of their future and recognize they don't have many draft picks for awhile.

Uh oh that leaves a whole in the Bayhawks frontcourt. They could use Toney Douglas's help. We have to tell somebody!

we have had so many chances to play Lin where he would be our quickest and fastest player.
Okay, I can see him not starting but when TD and Bibby have shown the inability to create, penetrate, or get the team going, why not give him a chance.

There is not one player that totally gets all the blame but we are lacking a unit that works well together.
Melo is the only player that can draw double/triple teams, he needs to make the correct choices.
Even if we miss the shots, we have to continue to take GOOD SHOTs.
Eventually the defense will play us different, vs constantly taking bad shots.
And that is why we need to continue to take good shots and having a PG that could penetrate, with a SG that can penetrate to open up the game.
We will still need to continue to hit shots as a team to spread the floor, but the penetration will help.
We are all in a funk right now, we have to break out of it.

Not having a post option, is totally hurting our ability to take good shots.
Melo is the only person that can post him, but he has the get the ball from outside the 3point line.
This is where Lin and Iman has to ability to penetrate and handle the ball.
Not having Jorts to play PF/C that can space the floor will really hurt.

Tyson Chandler, JJ, and right now even Amare, cannot space the floor.
Bill Walker and TD were able to get good shots, with Amare and the rest of the team willing to move the bball last game.
Amare realizes he cannot continue to go 1v1 with Melo doing it majority of the time, I give him credit for trying.
But he also has to start boxing out, fighting for position, and even try position up just to get position.

Right now, a trade will not benefit us because of the value our players have looking the way they do.
Our players that have the most value and interest right now include

Tyson Chandler
Melo
Iman

after that, probably only Jorts has the most interest. Amare just will not get any good value with the way he is producing, with the way he is shooting, his inability to score consistently, the way he is not able to defend *last year he wasn't able to defend the Center which was expected but for him to not be able to defend at the 4 with a solid center to back him up is unacceptable*, the way he is unable to post up, the way he relies on athleticism with him approaching 30, and of course having
an uninsured contract on top of it.

Bibby should not play during this game, its going to be tough to guard the penetration and shooting ability of the starting PG and SG on the Bobcats, being DJ Augistine and Kemba Walker.
We need to match back up with a rotation of

Iman
TD
Fields
Lin

With BJ Mullens being their starting center, Tyson Chandler shoot not be guarding him either. Chandler's strength is defending the paint and grabbing rebounds.
Whoever, we put on Mullens, SHOULD NEVER HELP, stay on him closely, while always keeping an eye on him and where the ball is. Play the passing lanes as the Bobcats will look to penetrate, then kick it back to Mullens, while never leaving our feet while defending him, and be ready to box out, not allowing him to crash for the rebounds.

Gerald Henderson, Melo's chance to redeem himself on defense but Melo usually struggles guarding players that can shoot well, as he also has athleticism and length.
If you didn't watch Rudy Gay, Danny Granger, Durant, and even Thedeus Young usually exploit Melo.
We cannot allow him to get hot and stop him from getting in rhythm.
While he isn't in the same caliber as those players, Henderson is much improved this year, while we will throw out a combination of

Melo
Fields
Bill Walker
Balkmen if he ever gets a chance to get out of the dog house....

Do not let shooters like blow, get good looks.

Matt Carroll
Diaw
Henderson

Box Out and don't rely on JUMPING AMARE, FIGHT for position

Tyrus Thomas
Henderson
Mullens
Biyombo
Diop
Najera
Devin Brown

Devin Brown - he has been ready to cheat when the ball 90% knows, it will go to Melo, playing the passing lane.
He also has picked up on Melo's moves, possibly in practice last year, stripped him plenty of times the past 2 games.

Show Me Some Pride!!!

Maybe going on road to find back our rhytm, regain conficence, so you won't get booed, coming back home to defend HOME COURT
team effort on defense, and with ball movement, spacing, cutting, especially, with penetration if Lin plays.
This is the 3rd meeting and in case we haven't noticed, we have been one of the "beat around teams" like the Wizards.
We cannot afford to take bad shots, give up ez shots, and allow fast breaks...

These recalls make sense to me.
1. Jordan recalled for depth while Jorts is out.
2. Lin recalled so that he can go to school watching BDiddy on the court.
We all know that Jeremy is a bright student.

I sense is that the coaching staff likes both of these players and
hopes that they can be rotational players in the future.

I hope Lin gets some burn with the better guys. All he needs to do is show stability at the PG spot with good decisions and setting up guys. The spot is up for grabs, really.

Absolutely.
At some point, you've gotta thrown him in the water
and see if he can swim with the big boys.

We really only saw him at garbage time...
where he was obviously trying too hard.

Maybe now after his triple double in the D League
he'll get some meaningful minutes.
