Laughable statement.

Why is he demanding they do things he doesn't? He doesn't use his brain on the court. He's a pretty low IQ player on the court. Insulting his teammates when he is probably worse will not win him many points or inspire confidence.

We need a better leader for this team.

lol yeah man. Coming from the guy who drives baseline directly under the basket. Help his man play defense by using the backboard to create a more difficult shot. Which most of the time ends up being a turn over.

Potshots aside, don't you think he was just implying that he should get the ball more and its stupid to basically be an all Melo offense? Kinda like, you know, rethink the strategy here, boys.

If anyone will call the teammates out, it can be the Big Honcho.

haha, I love Amar'e, but he needs to scale it back into mute mode. Is his buddy Bogut playing tonight?

He and Jennings tend to look like 1st team NBAers when they come here.

The big Honcho who takes it baseline and limits him self by going under the back board. He limits his shots opportunity and it becomes much harder to pass to your teammates. His lack of commitment on the boards and position defense. I think he needs to lead by example before he calls his teammates out.

Amare wasn't calling anyone out. We don't even get to hear the question asked of him. If the question was "How does the team get better offensively with little to no practice time?" then his answer is quite different than what you may initially think.

I liked that for the second day running, Amar'e made a point of complementing Landry Fields game vs the suns- he knows they need to boost his confidence.

Landry has impressed me over the past few games. His shot is still off and he can't hit a 3, but he has made so many big plays that have given us some momentum (e.g. key defensive plays, alley-oop to Tyson in 4th quarter of Suns game).

He's just such a smart player and he makes so many plays that don't show up in the box score. Once/if his shot gets going, he will look even better.

The irony is, that the two things he said he focused on during the offseason were his mental approach confidence and his 3pt shooting! Both him and Amar'e look like they've shed a little bit of the extra bulk they put on in the offseason, hopefully that will help them out a bit. Also I don't think it's a coincidence that the three players that bulked up the most this offseason (TD, Amar'e, Fields) all lost their shooting strokes.

Message to Amare:
"You gotta start playing like a PF and not a SF. Stop putting your head down and trying to drive to the basket while running over defensive players in the process. You're not a player who should be dribbling in traffic, and you're being whistled for way too many offense fouls. You're not an ISO player...although you've become one this year out of frustration. Instead, look for high percentage shots. If you don't have an open look, pass the ball. Use your good midrange J when you can't get inside, but forget the idea of becoming a three point shooter. Move without the ball and set picks for your teammates. If all else fails, help your team by boxing out and actually Deeing up on your man...or, if you don't like those big apples, you can request a trade."

He's just being a company man blurting out the words
while being clueless himself as to how to carry them out.

Bleh. D'Antoni needs to stop worrying about the pick & roll with Chandler - and make the combination Carmelo and Amar'e. More of a mismatch for opponents. (Chandler can deal with few touches in the paint - a scorer like Amare needs his easy points near the hoop to set up his outside shot... and his drives)

it has to do with what the defense can do when Chandler is NOT part of the PnR. If he is not, where does he play? If Chandler floats to the 3 point line, his defender, another C, would just drop to near the rim, clogging the middle and negating some of the effectiveness of PnR.

He's getting 16 shots a game. How many more does he need?
