Shump is a chucker and we don't need that from him. Maybe it's going to his head. D"Antoni need to sit his ass down.

Papabear Says

I hope that I'm wrong but Shump is putting up more shot than Melo and Amare and we can't have that. He needs to come back down to earth. We have the habbit of spoiling our players. I didn't like what i saw tonight. D'Antoni needs to have a talk with him and better yet Amare and Melo needs to talk with him. We don't need a chucker to start.

Isn't this a bit of an overreaction to a rookie having a bad game? he was overconfident and took too many shots in one game. I'm pretty sure he feels like crap about it and wants to do better. He's also been giving 110% every game on the defensive end and playing under control in every game before this one! You don't want to stifle his growth by overeacting but I'm sure they'll work with him on it.

Perhaps if our other vet PG's actually played better the kid wouldn't be thrust into this big spot with no backup. It would be easier on him and we could sit him down when he's not going to well. He hasn't had a break since he came back!

Oh and by the way this is one of the toughest offenses to master on top of everything else.

He said on his twitter something to the effect of "my bad for that game. I gotta get teammates more involved. OKC Next. "
I'm paraphrasing. He'll get it right.

Well, he acknowledged it at least. I didn't see the game but I would imagine many of those shots he took came after Melo and Stat were on the bench?

The one thing is, outside of this game, he needs to continue to defer on jumpers when Stat and Melo are out there. And even then, continue driving, that brought good things, like points and assists and fouls.

Iman is gonna grow from his experiences this year. He's gotta take his lumps and learn. He's not perfect and he's not fully developed as a player much less as the starting PG for a team with playoff aspirations.

One game..if he does it again then it's a pattern. But I have a feeling he will learn from it. Grizzlies were a tough defensive lesson for him. They really test your handles.

He needs to also work on his left hand and penetration moves.

The more games go by, the more I'm convinced that Shump is, at best, an emergency pg. He needs to play the 2. Rather than developing as a pg, he needs to develop as a finisher and, as FoeDiddy pointed out to work on his left hand. This is where his talent will take him if he works very hard.

The rookie in him came out big time yesterday. He was trying to carry the team but couldn't hit the side of a building with his shots. Learning experience for him for sure.

This is the learning process.

What makes him great is also what will make him terrible some games.

No problem.

We should trade him.

He might just be pissed cuz he was not named a captain.

I read he was looking for an extension and might demand a trade to Atlanta.

He knows he is the best player on the floor and with Melo an Stat he won't get many all Star votes.

I read Orlando want to trade for Shump. They have offered us Dwight and a unprotected first round pick. Atl was going to offer Horford AND Joe johnson for shump but Isiah wants them to throw in a first round pick.

Shump wants to play for a winning team and is tired of losing.

Shumps girlfriend wants to be an actress and has been offered a starring role as the spokesgirl for Chick-fil-la!

Even after the win against Philly he went on twitter apologizing for a bad "floor game"....kid understands the game but has to learn to pick his spots. He'll get it....when Baron comes back he won't have the burden of making plays for others.

Iman has the talent to be a point guard. He has solid court vision, can penetrate, and has a good feel on offense. But this kid has got to learn better shot selection. He has not met an open shot that he was not willing to take. One time last night he pulled up for a running floater from 12 feet away with four Memphis players under the rim. That is a bad shot and he should have known that. If he can get his shot selection under control, he has the talent to be our PG of the future. Otherwise, we have to move him to SG and take the ball out of his hands more.

He's a streaky shooter, and that is ok. He took a ton of shots last night but he is our third option now on offense. I have zero confidence in anyone on our team scoring the basketball outside of Melo, Stat, Chandler, and Shumpert. So if he doesn't have those guys on the floor like he didn't for a lot of last night, i want him shooting the ball. He struggles from the outside, but found his sweet spot with that pull-up jumper from about 12-15 feet off of the screen. That shot will make him a dangerous offensive player when he is controlling the ball on the wing.

Baron Davis is more effective on the bench than Mike D'Antoni.

Is it really necessary to bring Chick Fil A into this? Plus, C F A don't condone tats, so your attempt at humor is misplaced.
Shump's gf has got to have tats somewhere.

Anybody care to post pics to corroborate?

I would venture to say that 98% of the players whom fans say just "need coaching" have the same problems under every coach in their careers.

So a rookie PG tried to take the team on his back since the scoring options of Tyson Chicken and Billy Walker Red weren't exactly scaring the likes of Rudy Gay.

Let's trade him, then shoot him, and then try and get Gallo Felton Chandler and Moz back. While we're at it, lets kill off those other two captain starphuchs as well, since they're obviously no fucking good either.

Shump is a chucker and we don't need that from him. Maybe it's going to his head. D"Antoni need to sit his ass down.
