DRose and Blake are two of the hands down best players in the NBA. Incredible back and forth bball right now. Anyone else watching? CP3 and Blake look great together. That said, DRose is beating them both. He's like the prototypical lead guard you'd design if you had a computer program.

If I was starting a team I'd take LeBron first but Rose definitely next. He's just incredible.

Really frustrating to see this great fluidity from both teams.

Paul with a great alley oop to DeAndre Jordan, Rose responds with a drive and wraps a pass through traffic to Noah for a dunk.

It's two maestros at the point.

Right now, MDA is watching this game at a bar with a row of tequila shots lined up, downing 'em one at a time and crying.

I hope the players are watching it because I don't think the coach will communicate it. Still can't believe D'Antoni passed on Thibs the year before he was let go/allowed to leave in Phoenix.

Yeah, too bad the players wont play defense whether they're watching or not.

Too bad Amar'e wont rebound whether he's watching or not.

Too bad Toney Douglas will still be a bad all-around player whether he's watching or not.

Too bad the offense will have zero ball movement whether anyone is watching or not.

Too bad Chandler will have 5 rebounds whether he's watching or not.

Too bad the team will play with no effort on either side of the ball whether they're watching or not.

Dude every time I post an article or say something you respond negatively. Last week you said you respected kberg but... I posted the article. The other day I posted an SI article that was linked to all over your site and you trashed it. I get that you have an issue with my opinion but back it up.

You haven't the slightest clue what goes on in Knicks practices and yet you have formed an opinion that the coach will not communicate something to the players... I find that type of assumption to be stupid. It's an opinion based on nothing.

If you want to form an opinion, perhaps you should be the one backing it up.

I don't have to post an opinion. If I post anything your reaction is negative. I can react to negative if there is a reason for it. My sense is that the reason is that I am posting it. I enjoy a healthy debate and I know we often disagree but in my opinion there are some guys that just get it when they write about basketball. There have been some of those articles, kberg, Wojo, Lowe (si) that I have posted that you have trashed. If I am misreading a bias against me I apologize but that is how I see it. Again I am down for a healthy debate and you can call me dumb and I am not offended. But if that is because there is a bias then I would like it to stop. No disrespect intended. I recommend this site and slicksports to anyone that will listen.

now I have no idea what you are talking about.

When I say that I think an article is stupid, it means I am being critical of the author. When I like what an author says, it's probably because I agree with what is being said in the article. I don't really care who posts the article, whether it's you, Andrew, Nalod or BRIGGS or whomever. Sometimes I'll post an article and point out how dumb it is.

When you post these types of statements: "I hope the players are watching it [b]because I don't think the coach will communicate it." I think you are being short-sighted and have no idea what you are talking about.

And really, what does my comments to your post have anything to do with what articles you post?

The CLippers shouldn't be able to play like this. They had a shortened training camp and major roster changes. It's only preason game 3 afterall.

I think the regular season games are pretty good evidence. But perhaps you go to the practices and see something different? Or you've heard the communicatoins but it just falls apart when they step on the basketball court?

Rose is completely sick, he added a 3 point shot to his arsenal.
Not just a completely wide open 3 point shot like last year, but off the dribble, from deeper than the 3 point line, and with a jump shot at a good rate.
He is a the most successful hybrid of the combo guards, capable of playing the PG, SG, or/and combo guard.
Whether is facilitating or scoring, which are completely 2 different mindsets that is very hard to be good at the same time.
He is capable of mixing it up and giving the element of surprise, making it extremely hard to defend, especially now being a legit 3 point shooter.

If you are going to start a team to build a franchise around if you had the 1st pick of all players for a franchise, anyone can argue for

Dwight Howard
Lebron James
Rose
Durant

I was hoping Iman Shumpert could be similar to Rose/Westbrook in a couple of years during the summer....
While watching his 2 preseason games and half a game in Boston, he doesn't look like he is a PG.
He showed he has the SG and scorers mentality and lacked a better handle to run a PG.
Rose got extremely better every year, its surprising how much he improved his game in just 2 years, currently is 3rd year.
I still have hopes that Iman can be a similar between the Rose/Westbrook combination.
But to able to master the completely 2 different mentalities that Rose has done is quite unbelievable in such a short time period.
This is what Westbrook has a problem achieving, that Rose has done already.

I don't know if Iman can be as successful as Rose, or if he would need another SG that is capable of playing the PG.
Westbrook has ball handlers to take the pressure of him with Durant, Harden, or a backup PG.
While Rose doesn't have anyone most of the team, with Hamilton/Deng...
A younger Joe Johnson, Terry, Tyreke Evans, or talent of that caliber might be needed for Iman.
But he can completely get lost mentally, similar to how a bad Westbrook or TD plays.
If he is successful in the footsteps of Rose, he would cause problems because of his defense and advantage at the PG.

I think we need at least 2 players that are capable of penetrating/attacking the basket at the PG and SG, to go with ATM.
TD and Fields aren't those players, which limits our moves.
After Baron Davis *if healthy* and Iman starts, I believe the game will open up for everyone.
We can get Amare easy baskets with Tyson Chandler with the pick and roll.
With those 2, the team has to learn to move without the ball individually and to set picks, and allow ball movement.
Its that penetration that causes a double or even triple team, earning a step or wide open shot for another.

We have been exposed with TD and Fields and Dantoni should adjust to it.
Lin deserves to get a chance to play tonight and Dantoni needs to hold players accountable and correct their mistakes as some people has pointed out in here.
The Amare TOs when he tries to play point forward, Amare not putting a body on his man, boxing out for the RB, TD when he cheats too much, Fields TOs, and much more.

Mike D'antoni isn't watching anything regarding defense.

they lost by 20 the other night. But Knick fans dont recognize such things. Pick the team of the night then say our players and coaches suck because they dont play like THOSE guys.

So Im assuming you watched the Clippers lose by 20 the other night? Thats the kind of consistancy your expecting from the Knicks?
