It would be great if they could do that. Do you think Davis comes to NY for the minimum? If Grunwald pulls that off he is executive of the year.

I thought Baron would still get his old salary regardless of how much he accepts from another team. Does that only apply to him if someone picks him up during the bidding process?

Baron still gets his money from the Cavs and once he's picked up the new team will pay a small amount of the overall contract.

Looking at his #'s from last season, he had some really impressive games against good teams. This dude is a serious baller.

i would be thrilled to get Baron.

i'm thinking the back injury might be a ploy to get teams not to claim him off waivers.

and, i'm also thinking the knicks will get a nasty comics sans letter from Dan Gilbert if the Knicks get him and he has a good game.

also, what are the chances the Nets DONT put in a claim?

the skeptic in me says that the only way Dan Gilbert would waive Baron Davis is if he knew one of his cronies was gonna put in a claim on him. MJ in Charlotte? Charlotte was rumored to have a claim on Billups, actually multiple teams were.

i don't think Baron clears waivers.
