we were right, they was something going on.

NEW YORK, December 12, 2011 – New York Knickerbockers Senior Vice President, Basketball Operations and Interim General Manager Glen Grunwald announced today that the team has signed free agent guard/forward Devin Green and forward/center Chris Hunter. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Green, 6-7, 212-pounds, played 27 games for the L.A. Lakers in 2005-06 for a total 136 minutes. The Hampton University alum spent the last five seasons playing overseas in Germany, Italy, Belgium, Puerto Rico, China and Bulgaria. He split last season between Shangai (China) and Lukoil Academic (Bulgaria) and averaged 18.2 points and 7.8 rebounds over 34.1 minutes for Shanghai and 13.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in 25.2 minutes for Lukoil Academic.

Hunter, 6-11, 240-pounds, originally signed with New York on Apr. 14, 2009, following a D-League All-Star season with Fort Wayne. He holds NBA career averages of 4.5 points on .502 shooting, 2.8 rebounds and 0.60 assists over 13 minutes in 60 games with Golden State during the 2009-10 season. He returned to Fort Wayne last season, where he holds career averages of 18.6 points on .546 shooting, 9.0 rebounds and 0.8 assists over 54 games (47 starts). He played collegiately for four seasons at the University of Michigan.

Both these guys have been pretty dominant in their respective leagues. I'm not expecting much, but I'll root for these guys.

We have more than 1 spot left, right - aren't training camp rosters up to around 18 or 20?

We have a really young combination of youth, veterans, and hungry players.
These are underdogs that could be a steal for us.
At the very least they are great guys to push others, to practice, and stay improving.
They have to EARN their contracts, and sometimes, star's 4get that.
I will cheer for these guys and I think we got some steals.
I hope they have multi-year deals, with incentives.

It looks like me, and some others, might have to eat our words about the Melo, deal.
I never would have expected us to improve this much the way things were looking on the start of last week/months.

Either Houston/Grunfield or whoever the team is, scouting, or whoever is finally the right moves.
A lot of these theories, have been here in the forum, all along.
It wouldn't surprise me if someone has been reading our thoughts.

While, I target Chandler, posting for a year at least? for him.
We have been talking about D League Talent 4ever.

I believe me might be under the cap, so its possible we can still bid for Baron Davis?
Don't think he got amnestied yet though.
I wonder if we still have our 2.5 exemption and who we targeting with last roster spot?
Are the moves done or not? Has Shawne William's patience and loyalty work together?

Ic, next year, we are going to add some solid vets, to go with this core...

KG
Camby
Duncan

Ray Allan

Nash
Sessions

I am excited....

Adding 3 veteran's seems like a decent chance, especially if things don't work out for their team's this year.

And, I Sincerely Apologize to Dolan, and anyone I ever doubted.
Good job to, by Grunfield, Houstan, Walsh, Isiah or/and whoever reads this message board.
Get us job's if available in scouting, advising, or coaching ^^

right. also, i don't think it's a lock that devin green and chris hunter make the final roster. being on the camp roster and being on the final opening day roster are two different things.

he was there but sat out practice while his contract is being finalized. Read that on twitter 5minutes ago.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I don't know about that...Do you think JJs could throw up 19 points a game in the NBDL.

any chance, that his contract could be based on incentives.
Things he does positive and things that he does negative can offset him value to negative....
LOL

I don't know maybe he might not be the work and hustle a player like KG/Ben Wallace, once resembled.
He might not have the same respect or pay checks close to what Isiah would have gave him.
He does seem to be able to stay positive ,as a pro, sometimes ignoring all negative feedback is hard.
While staying continually ineffective on offense, producing so many negative attributes but producing with defense.
As many jokes as I say about him, he can play a similar role to Dirk on defense.

I do want to see him minutes decrease, it is possible that he play meaningful limited minutes sometimes.

Jerome Jordan would make 14 but these other 2 guys will probably not make the team. They're just training camp bodies.

We'll just say the roster is at 12 with Jordan.

Hunter add's a athletic body at 6'11 we could use. We don't have that type of player and looks like he might have more post game game to go with it.
He add's our need at backup center or PF. Not all Center's are big, sometimes this type of body can help us better than Jorts. He look's so much more talented than Jordan, I don't think Jordan will see daylight this seasons.

Green looks like he can be a Wilson Chandler/Derrick Brown like. These are good players how they work with our team, is another story. Every year, I see Golden State
or some team making acquisitions like these. And at the very least, I can say we tried...

I think they have more talent and could contribute better than

JJ
JJ2
Balkman

for sure. Fishlips might be a favorite for the Knick's when we didn't options. Yeah, I know he didn't play Darko or Randolph much...

btw, I remember when Briggs or somebody made a couple D League suggestions?

Was it Hunter? I am pretty sure, at that time we didn't have a legit center yet.

I believe somebody said he was closer to like 6'7 or so but listed higher??

Now he can be a center and PF/C for us. Nice player add...
