Taking into consideration how the Knicks are set for the next 4 years and are pretty much a lock to finish among the top teams in the East....just how valuable are those picks we gave Denver now

also, with addition of Tyson Chandler and buying the pick for Jerome Jordan who has been developing in Europe, it makes the loss of Mozgov alot less painful.

considering the trade off for the Rooster for Melo is pretty much a wash

and...with the loss of Bilups, our rookies will surely get more playing time which is something everyone here on the UK rants about

and...we could possibly now get Wilson Chandler back who is clearly not happy in Denver and wants to return to NY with our MLE next year to fill a needed scoring role off the bench.

How do you grade that deal now

Wilson Chandler could return as quickly as this year, I think.

i think if we're talking players to come back next year, i'd love to try to get Ray Felton for the full MLE.

I don't think he can get out of China until their season is over...?March? Which would be right before the playoffs here. All seems very complicated though considering he would still be a RFA and Denver is going to want something for him. I doubt Denver would match a MLE offer next year though since he doesn't want to be there

would love to see him here for the playoffs this year...

Felton just felt like a NY point guard for some reason. Would really love to bring that guy back. Guessing he won't be thrilled to be in Portland.

Add my +1 to that sentiment. Felton pushed the ball up, played hard d, passed pretty well. I was very happy with Felton at the point.

Felton hit a wall for about 4-5 weeks and then played well again before the trade. He's definitely capable. I'd welcome him back for sure.

I've always graded it high. In 10 years no-one will even remember any of the players we gave up to get Melo. Chandler would never have come here without Melo in place. Denver will be in the lottery for the foreseeable future while we'll be contenders for at least the next four years. The Melo trade basically reversed the fortunes of the two teams. Given where we were a while ago that's a pretty nice place to be.

He wasn't a star. He wasn't the fastest. He didn't even look completely in shape.

But he was a warrior. He was a leader. He learned the system and made it work. He helped us overachieve.

I would love to have him back in NY!

As much as I love rayray's Swag compare his pick and roll action against nash?
Also I would expect career years from fields, chandler and even shawne williams if we sign him.

Nash can still ball, like grant hill he does not rely on his athleticism but his bball IQ.

Its true that Nash still has game and will probably have for the next few seasons. Its a hard question because Nash wouldcertainly help a lot this team, especially if Mike D remains the coach. But Ray, as Crzy mentioned, just felt like a NY point guard and would certainly do a good job with this team and could also have a longer stay with us.

How do you grade that deal now

your factoring Wilson returning?

Rookies who have not even been drafted?

Your factoring our rookie(s) stepping up to the plate?

How do I grade the deal?

Lets look back in 5 years and see what we did. How Denver did. How Gallo did. How melo did.

Nobody could see last year "amnesty". We Reupped Billups at the end of the year.

Grade the deal?

Im gonna watch the games and give them all an incomplete.

Im not sticking my chest out quite yet!
