Of course you know I believe he can Iman has a great package of physical talent and skill. His handle is better than TD's and he's at least shown that he can run the point. In his rookie year Iman avg'd 5 assists. He started passing less and less with each year as his scoring became more important, but I don't think he's a guy that can't pass or lacks court vision. As i've said many times Walsh wanted to play him at the point and Billups as a SG. Just remember that NO ONE had any faith in Rondo being able to run the point back when he got thrust into the spot.

I'm not saying this is gonna happen, but I don't think it's totally out of the question at some point this season. At the very least Iman can bring the ball up and get the offense started. No one should doubt that he can do at least that, which isn't much different than what TD can do after a couple of years.

iMan had his rookie year already?

Or you mean a freshman 'Rambling Wreck from Georgia Tech.....

He need not be a "Star" to be effective or the team to succeed.

I hear you & i hope he picks up D'antoni's SSOL offense quickly & blossoms this year but I wont be mad if they get Baron Davis to hold it down for a year also.

Baron Davis would be a great addition if he wasn't so lazy..if he came to play that would be a great pick up.

Yea if the Knicks can land Davis, that would be the best possible situation. As you say it allows Iman to develop with less pressure and TD can do his thing as well.

I just think Iman is a great young talent and he has the confidence to play in this league. I think he can do the job. He's been the leader of his team and under D'Antoni he can learn so much about running a team. I think Iman is more of a PG than TD is. He's no pure point, but he can't be worse than Duhon.

I think we should stick Iman out there and let him take his lumps.

i think iman is less of a point guard, more of a natural shooting guard.

he reminds me of a young sprewell.

Iman has been a pg for years. He avg'd 5 assists as a ROOKIE at GT. He has no real lack of skills IMO. 6-6, 220, long arms, quick lateral, great handle, rebounds and starts the break, finishes strong... This kid might just be able to do the job. Just imagine the new Knicks backcourt with Fields and Iman. 6-7 and 6-6 both with size and athletic ability and rebounding. Loads of size and talent between those 2. Let MDA work with Iman like he did Fields and see what he does. MDA will know fairly quick if Iman has a chance to do the job.

Um....Iman not at practice. I hope he's not invloved in the Chandler thing. And if he is we better be getting back a good PG.

I believe he is the new Breed of Combo/PGs

Should be in the between the talents of

Westbrook
Rose
D. Wade

John Wall

he isn't a pure PG, like Cp3 or Deron. But he is in the mode of the star's above him.
John Wall is probably the purest PG of that list.

I think he has more handle and a better shot than Westbrook's rookie year.
If he continues to improve, I his ceiling is just as high as those stars. How he develops, is another question, only time and the work he puts in it will tell....

I'm flattered but I don't (nor does anyone else here) have the impressive track record of accurate predictions that Isles does.

look... he was pick 17 for a reason
Best Case: 6-5 Version Of Kyle Lowry
Worst Case: Keyon Dooling

Im thrilled if he can defend the perimeter well this year and be a rotation player. Lets be realistic. He's a defensive guy on a team with (now) one of the league's best frontcourts. He's in a great position to succeed. So is ball hawking Toney D.

Its pick 17. Let be happy with a rotation player. Just being realistic
