My head just exploded this morning with the news of Tyson Chandler, Chris Paul, the NBA cancelling trades and even the now stale Grant Hill Saga. Guess you can't miss a day of NBA coverage in this post-lockout, fast-paced NBA. So what do we know?

The Knicks finally have a legit center. Three starting positions (all frontcourt) are set.

What we don't know?

Who starts at point guard and shooting guard? Will Billups be amnestied or traded?

Crazy stuff that gets crazier by the minute. Now, what do the Knicks do?

**We have Baron Davis flirting with us. Is that good? Is that starting material in a contender?

**Where will Ronny Turiaf be traded? Will he bring that point guard option?

**Is Grant Hill really in or out as a Knicks option? Is he the best bet we have for the #2?

**What else is brewing for the Knicks around the league that I'm missing? Help a knicks fan who just missed a day or two of coverage and all of a sudden feels like he went through his own lockout.

Tyson Chandler is not signed yet. With the ABA bull**** from last night let's not count on anything.. Baron Davis at a discount would be a great addition imo. Turiaf won't bring anything other than a 2nd round pick. I'm not counting on Grant Hill (PHO/SA). Honestly feel good about Fields/Shumpert at the 2, especially with the frontcourt we'll have if we sign Chandler.

Today will (hopefully) bring more clarity.

Food for thought (if Chandler signs). Chandler 7'1", Amare (now) 6'11", Melo 6'8". Gotta love the size and offense/defense mix of those 3. Chandler could be just what we need.

Since league owns the Hornets they can demand to halt the trade.

This is a free agent signing, or sign and trade.

I honestly think Turiaf gets traded for Duhon. Might not be popular but i remember it being talked about last season. I hope Sessions comes into the mix somehow tho.

I really hope we lock up Anthony Carter, unless MDA hates him (I lost my mind last year during the playoffs when he refused to play him) dude is solid.

Agree. I want him to be the 3rd string point guard of the team. Guy knows what it takes to win and isnt scared.

Barea may be a possibility. He isn't the solution, but is a good P&R PG and is one of the best available. He is much better suited to run the point than Douglas at this point in time.

I'm thinking Carlos Arroyo. I know he's nothing to brag about but, Baron Davis is likely a pipe dream and Arroyo might be the best of a mediocre bunch.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I think the Knicks will up their offer to Shawne and bring him back. He was such a reliable shooter for this team last year. I can't see MDA feeling comfortable without his corner 3 shooter.

Think the first move has to be Billups.....I think he'll be traded back to Denver who is under the cap. Knicks maybe get rights to Wilson Chandler and can handle his buyout with the Chinese team.

It also shouldn't be to difficult to send Turiaf to a team under the cap.

and then the Knicks announce the Tyson Chandler signing

think Shawne is going to be back...and no need for Jeffries with Tyson here, so we bring Jerome back and develop him here 10-12 minutes off the bench...Jorts gives depth. Also hoping we can get Wilson back for scoring off the bench, but we'll have to wait and see on that one.

Can you imagine we got Will Chandler back to play the SG with this line up?? Talk about BULLY BALL!

Exactly, no need for Jeffries. I'd rather develop,Jorts and Jorden.

It would be great if we could trade Billups back to Denver with Turiaf. We save lots of money and keep our Amnesty in case of injury.

Um... for Phil?

and the really cool thing about it is...and I could be reaching here, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong...with Wilson in China, he wouldn't count against our cap just like Jerome doesn't until we bring them over so more room under the cap for a Tyson Chandler signing

The best case would be to trade Billups and keep the amnesty clause, especially since we keep the mid-level exc. Of course, if you want to keep the hope for CP3, you'd not want to spend more.

We need a starting PG and Im not comfortable thinking Baron Davis is our best option. Best scenario at 2, contrary to Grant Hill fans, would be Will Chandler. But when will he become available?

What ever our next move is, I hope it doesn't involve Jamal Tinsley of Carlos Arroyo. Our PG prospects are bleak unless Davis is amnestied or things immediately beging clicking for Douglas and Shump.

That would make sense. Phil's offense is not dependent on a true PG, where as MDA's offense is totally dependent on the PG.

Also, 3 Stars on a team, needs PhilJax to make it work.

At this point, bring him in now.
