supposedly clips want to re-sign him. he's blake's best friend. if they're making a play for dwight howard as broussard says, you'd think they'd want to sign deandre as a trade chip to get dwight.

Clips have said they will match any offers for Jordan.

Its strange to even think it but, I believe Sterling is finally serious about fielding a winning product.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

LA Clippers are cheap. I'd bid on him regardless.

Sterling's finance's changed regarding the team. He is.

I agree. There is a very good chance Sterling will not match.

I'd rather take a chance on signing Chris Paul than sign DeAndre Jordan

I rather have Chris Paul and Dwight Howard. However, expecting either guy to take less money to play with the Knicks is silly. We are talking millions of dollars here.

Plus you never know when a team like Oklahoma with a guy like Westbrook might do to get over their hump. Too many variables to waiting on Howard or Paul. We cant just bury our head in the sand until summer.

Deandre Jordan is 23 yrs old and exactly what we need next to Amare. He doesnt demand the ball in the paint and he wouldn't be getting the ball anyway with Melo and Amare here.

and with the change in league rules, guys will be more fixated on making the Allstar Team now more than ever since it now has contract$$ ramifications. Guys might take a pay cut to play with a guy that can make you look as good as Paul can.

I want the Knicks to go after these Centers...

Tyson Chandler
Nene
Marc Gasol
DeAndre Jordan

What is the harm in trying to go after them?

we not just amnesty Billups and offer Tyson Chandler the max? THATS the guy you need to build a title. You have two scoring forwards who dont defend. Get the league's 2nd best best defensive player to man the middle.

I like that idea. Tyson would flourish here protecting Melo and Stat.

Give the reigns to Shumpert and lets go.

because waiving Billups would only make about $4-5M in cap space.

well you have to find a taker for Turiaf and Balkman. You can use Fields and Douglas and the rights to Shumpert to move those guys for future 2nd rounders. I would think that would also give us a valuable trade exception(s) as well.

If we are going to pretend we have a shot at signing CP3 or others next summer all those guys are gone anyway

i think they're serious about signing Deandre Jordan because he's Blake's best friend on the team.

where did I say I expect Paul to sign here?

like I said, I'd rather have the opportunity to sign him, than sign Jordan. Seems to me like you're the one assuming where someone will sign

So if we miss out on Paul or Howard who else are we going to get to fill the hole at Center and PG?

there is no question that guys would come here for a chance to win or a chance to get paid... Let's say the Chris Paul is here. Would, say, Josh Howard sign a one year deal here hoping that if he proves he's healthy and puts up some numbers that he'll see a big payday elsewhere next year?
