There is no bonafide no. 1 pick. What can they parlay that into via trade? some team is going to fall over themselves over Irving who Im sure will be a fine player but if you can Trade, or trade down, do you do it? This is a weak ass draft like all weak ass drafts look better the closer you get and the more that is written about it.

First on the clock is the post Lebron Cavs........

Then the enigma Kahn and his Wolves........

Lakers even dare to trade Kobe if Kobe wants to move? Across the Hall to the Clipps?

A deal that makes a lot of sense for both Cleveland and Minnesota is 4th pick and JJ Hickson for the 2nd pick. Cleveland has a chance to start off their new era with a bang having the top 2 players in the draft and Minn adds depth to their frontcourt as Hickson can backup Love or play alongside him plus they have a ton of options for what direction to go with the 4th pick. They are probably best getting Kanter to add their center they need. Cleveland should really go big and starting with Irving and Williams is their best chance to do that.

Funny, the ATL trade rumors don't involve either Cleveland, minny, or the lakes who seem very open to dealing.

How does Monta Ellis end up a knick?

I agree. Cleveland might rebound from the loss of Lebron faster than I thought they could, if Davis can stay healthy. Big if. I don't see them going on a losing streak like last season if they play their cards right.

Good story there but many season tix were sold before "The Decision", on the other hand Cleveland Cavs games on local cable is like top 5 in the country in market share. They like sports up there!

What had to happen was the team was allowed to tank than panic. I suppose they sold the "stick to Lebron" propoganda theme enough to do a rebuild. Williams for Barron and the pick was brilliant!

You create your own Luck! Luck=when opportunity and preperation collide!

This is why I need a second team to root for. One that rebuilds with yoots. Cleveland is not it though. Not a Byron Scott fan and its, well, its Cleveland! For Years Cleveland was the "Newark" of the great lakes!

I say this every year and it does not happen. New York "Rens"!

My bad Nalod, I meant the team, not the city, my fault. You are right they love their sports there and I give them lots of credit for filling the arena with fans even during the losing streak. That's loyalty.

Hating Lebron really bought the fans out. Kinda creepy in a way!

I think it was more about the team, like you said they like their sports up there. I don't believe they hate him enough to sit through that losing streak, at least I hope not. I know they were experiencing some major schadenfreude over Lebron losing in the finals however. So were fans in other cities after "The decision" and the "2,3,4,5,6,7.. championships" comment.

Does Cleveland take Irving at no.1? Or do the Lakers waive Bynum and Perhaps Irving becomes the Lakes new face until Dwight goes west?

Too many Laker rumors to ignore.......where there is smoke.......

Is the pending lockout going to give us the kind of Draft nite deals fans so crave?

When Silver announces "a trade to announce....." the draft buzzes.

Does a trade get done or will a team like SAC draft Jimmer, the knicks pick for Sac, then a deal is announced?

Intrigue at the top two spots. LA seems to want the #2 pick but what if Cavs take Williams? Wolves are almost forced to take Irving as trade bait.

yeah, same day threads usually work a little better than ones created too far out. We'll see how it goes!

This is going to be an exciting night. From looking at everyones mock, it seems like we will be picking one of the following players in the first round:

Vucevic
Fredette
Walker
Brooks
Shumpert
Klay Thompson
Bismack Biyambo
Alec Burks
Darius Morris
Kenneth Farried

While, some fill a greater need than others, I think we'd sign up for any one of them. Don't know much about the Morris twins game other than what I've read, they remind me a bit too much of Jordan Hill and I hope we'll do better. I'd be most worried about Fredette and Walker, but the rest seem like they could help immediately. The best case is somehow getting Biyambo or Klay Thompson. More realistically, if we were able to gran Vucevic and Selby later, it would be an A+ night and another reason we should be sad to see Donnie go.

weak drafts make for some interesting deals/rumors!

Cavs have a 14mil exemption they can trade!

Kahn can reshape his franchise very quickly.

If Rubio produces and AR lives up to some potential thats two organic assets infused without it costing a thing.

Plus the no. 2 pick in a two pick draft. After that its shuffle time!

Any takers for the 17 and TD for Jimmer? As Jimmer falls do we work the phones selling the pick and TD to a team that can get what they want/need at 17 and get a free TD for their trouble?

It's hard to get excited about the draft when there wont be any NBA basketball on TV for a long time.
