The Knicks are talking with Pacers to swap picks on draft night. Really want to add a shooter on draft night.

Singleton? Alec Burks? Klay Thompson?

Just posted that on the Mock Draft thread.

According to Ford, it's sounding like we want a better shot at Jimmer or Thompson. Think Indy accepts just an even swap and save on salary (maybe include some cash considerations?), or would we have to include a future #2 or something?

I really want the Knicks to go big. I hope they aren't moving up for Jimmer. Any report of what the Knicks would give up?

Knicks would have to move up to 11 to have a chance to snatch Jimmer from Utah!!! I don't know what the plan is, but that doesn't make sense.

no word. I hope it's only cash. What else could they give up? Andy Rautins?

I hope we're not telling everyone who we want to take. Even "a shooter" is giving out too much info. Just do it! and no explanations until after the draft selection is made.

Has to be Thompson, if a shooter.

Reggie Miller lite, IMO.

Of course we might also be putting up a smoke screen.

We seemed to have made the mistake of professing our love for S. Curry much too early- I expect (hope) that we've learned from that.

It's not the Knicks who are telegraphing what they want as much as media guys deducing the needs the team have and coming up with their own conclusions. The Knicks don't really know how this draft is gonna play out so they have to have several options.

I don't know. Everyone knew the Knicks were taking Gallo. Everyone knew the Knicks wanted Steph Curry and then Rubio.

pretty much everyone knows picks 1-10 in most every draft. No big deal. Most of it ain't rocket science.

There's some truth to that but I remember a press conference where Rod Thorn was planning his draft around the Knicks picking Gallo. I also believe when the Knicks picked Wilson it was leaked.

I dont know why they'd make a trade to move up from 17 to 15 unless all they want is cash and 17. I'd rather spend thatoney on a later pick. Unless we can do both.

Rod Thorn picked Lopez at 10. He planned that pick after 9 other teams, not just Gallo. Maybe he thought he knew the Knicks were gonna pick him cause they sent a boatload of scouts to Europe?

People figured out we were taking Wilson Chandler because he stopped working out for other teams. Not much you can do about that. Steph Curry made it known that he wanted to be here. There's nothing we could've done about that outside of getting a higher pick, especially with Don Nelson at Golden State at the time. That said, I'd just assume stand pat. Klay Thompson is sounding more like Kyle Korver the more I hear and see from him.

No one knew we were picking up Timo! It's not that hard to figure out what the Knicks want to do here. Bigman and PG. I mean what's the big secret? There aren't that many worthy bigs in the draft to begin with.
