Sounds like they don't want it and they can make some money off of it. There will be so many players left going into the 2nd rd. I think this is gonna go down as one of the most underrated drafts. There's no Blake Griffin or John Wall, but there are some kids that can fill roles definitively. After their Mock 1st rd. all of these players are left: Reggie Jackson, Jimmy Butler, Josh Selby, Chandler Parsons, Darius Morris, Nolan Smith, Jeremy Tyler, Malcolm Lee, JaJuan Johnson, Norris Cole and Shelvin Mack. Don't think some of those guys couldn't help the Knicks???? |

Would love this guy as another guard off the bench taken in the second round. Been reading how he is holding his own against workout sessions involving Kemba, Jimmer. The videos show him doing 3 on 3 and he did some pick and roll plays and passed the ball decently. Just because he is coming out of UCLA we have to take a look at picking him up. That system just doesn't make PG's look that great (e.g. Collison and that Phili guy ;-) With how this team is structured, a real floor general with size is going to really help us as a pg with size (or one that can penetrate quickly e.g. Selby) is going to create havoc considering Melo and Stat will get the ball in a nice position. I'm sure management is looking at fit high up on their list as where we are picking the players are seemingly on the same level (for the most part.) Many have said there is not a lot of disparity from pick 10 to 20 or so. We'll see how the draft unfolds. Can't wait, only one more week. And then probably a loooong lockout. edit - From draft express One of the more interesting early entry candidates in this year's draft class among the combo guard prospects, Malcolm Lee showed some promising signs in Las Vegas for a player who had only been cleared to play a few days before we saw due to a minor knee surgery. I hope our draft focuses on an outside shooter and a backup PG. We can then try to land Sammy D. or another big to shore up our interior defense/rebounding. I really hope Jordan pans out this season as that would greatly impact our 2012 plans. Go Donnie! Make us all rejoice next week. |

With this same theory, with the big free agents of 2012 being PG's and Dwight Howard.
Chris Paul Ray Allen? not sure about the extension.... These are just a couple of free agents of the top of my head that we can go after, quantity or going all in with one FA? My point is, I don't think it is wise saying we will sign Sammy Dalembert, therefore we should fill our other holes. Yes, if Sammy does sign with us, it would be great, but we need more than 1 body anyway. Centers don't come cheap, teams don't trade them away. Look at McGee, Hibbert, Lopez, and even Bynum. We had the opportunity to draft these players, knowing every year it was our greatest need but we didn't. Now teams will laugh at us if we wanted to trade for these players. I would love to add a center in this draft, in fact I don't mind even adding 2. I would be opposed to adding 2 guards though, of course if we somehow did get Dalembert in FA, it wouldn't be that bad though. I still look forward to getting a player like Sean Williams in the D League. Signing Jordan and let him develop in D league for a little and bring him in for some practice and experience a little later. in my opinion SG/SF, are the easiest spots to fill in FA. I think we should sign players that can play both ends to guard Wade, Lebron, and even Pierce, Rose, and Wall. Nikola Vucevic is a player that would be able to come in and contribute right away. However, he isn't the center with the athleticism, shot blocking, and defense that we are need. Jeremy Tyler if we buy a lower first round /highsecond round pick I don't really see why the Bulls would look to give up both of their picks, especially if these are such great role players we can use, so can they. If I were the Bulls I would probably look to trade one for a more proven player and drafting 1 PF/C. I think the only player they may want on our roster is TD. I would love to add both picks or even just one for a combination of Fields, Walker. I am not sure if they would give us both picks for all 3 players. I think they can use TD and would look to add another best player left at PF/C. If they want TD/Fields for one pick, should we bite? For the Knicks, I think we should draft a Center with the 17th pick. However, what if Biyombo falls, which he really might and Vucevic is drafted. Rate if they were all on board Vucevic reason I would draft a center with the 17 pick first is because if we do acquire another pick, there seems to be a lot of PG's left dont think Marshon Brooks and Shelby will be there at the Bulls pick though. I don't mind drafting 2 centers though Jeremy Tyler I wouldn't be opposed with drafting a guard first then a center if either, even though I think there are more PG's and Combo Guards that will fall to 30th+ Vucevic Vucevic Jeremy Tyler Shumpert
In the end, I trust Donnie and we have to put faith in him. I hope he will have influence over the next GM and let him try to fix what Dolan messed up... |
