That's why this idea works for me. Like the Carmelo Deal, it doesn't solve the issues at the bigs but it improves the team and prolongs the championship window by a few years. Realistically, if I could toss Billups/Fields to San Antonio and get Parker in return, that's worth a look. Then if they could get a big like Dalembert in free agency and draft the best player available, there's a good team to work with. This is the set of moves to make. I would even deal our pick as part of a Parker package. A lineup that includes Melo, Stat, Parker, and Dalembert just needs a shooter and a solid group off the bench and can definitely compete for a championship next season. And i hate how people say Parker is on the decline of his career. He is 28, this is his prime, and will be for more years. We would get at least 6-8 strong years from him and i'm good with that. |

Even still, 4 years at his current contract is very solid value for a player of his caliber at his age. It will also give us the 4 years of the melo, stoudemire, parker combination, then we can look at our options when those contracts expire. It is a great plan for the next 4 years. Billups, Fields, and the 17th pick for Parker if that's what it takes. |

CP3, on the other hand, is just about to enter his prime years. If we're going to empty our cupboards even further, let's get a star in his prime to build our three amigos core. Plus, I can't really see Stat and Melo chumming around with a Frenchman in NYC. Yeah, I guess TP would be cool to hang with. He seems like a guy who knows how to have fun. |

![]() I think it's time to revisit an old friend; Ray Felton. We all know that he's miserable sharing time with Lawson in the backcourt. He already has familiarity with the system, especially Amar'e and is a better option that TP. He has already indicated that he will try to move mountains to get out of Denver. He's also in the final year of his contract. Something can be done.

![]() Billups for Ray Ray and the Birdman? Don't know how the salaries match out or if The Bird would wreck our 2012 plans, but he'd give us veteran rebounding (an area of need) and Felton would run our offense (arguably) better than Billups (certainly faster). I'd take Ray over Chauncey any day, not just due to age, but because Chauncey will always be homesick.
