Is Rubio really that good? What will we have to do in order to get him from Minny? He don't want to play there.

Everyone talk about Rubio. I haven't followed his career. I want to know how good is he and can we get him form Minny. He does not want to go there so why is Minny holding on? Can we get him? What will we have to give up or can we make a trade.

they would've waived him to make room for jared jeffries. half the NBA would have then inquired about signing him.

He has leverage to stay but the euro game is not condusive to putting up FG's and he don't do it that well in the Euro league.

His stock has dropped.

For all the picks Minny still don't have a blue chip Point.

My take is Rubio should have been here by now and perhaps the instigater of the youth oriented SSOL team and let them grow together with tweeks along the way.

With The Amare-Melo starphuch win now I don't think the kid would have the time to develope his NBA game nor the weight of the spotlight to carry the franchise.

The kid is marketing gold.

He has all the tools for greatness but he has to have the shot to open things up.

I can't imagine we could trade for him now. He would need a year behind chauncy.

Hate to label these guys so fast because they have a way of sneaking up on teams.

Memphis looked moronic with its roster moves the last few years and despite them seem to be doing well.

Im not talking smack just so fast.

On the Idiot meter the knicks were on top for way too many years.

I won't mind trading for Rubio now. At this point he is worthless to th Twolves, Fields and our pick would be worth the 20 something year old RR.

this is highly unlikely...but maybe a package of Tony Douglas/17th pick/maybe even cash considerations to Minnesota for the #1 pick? haha...with the weak draft...and the most likely #1 pick being either point guard Kyrie Irving or power foward Derrick Williams...both positions Minnesota has a few to many options on their current roster to fill those spots...

with PF: Michael Beasley/Kevin Love/AR
PG: Johnny Flynn/Luke Ridnour/Sebastian Telfair/ and the rights to Ricky Rubio...

i'd gladly take a higher pick, the rights to rubio, or ridnour

We do need rookies. Rookies are cheap. Guys coming off their rookie contracts are going to be expensive. Knicks need to conserve cap if they want to make moves for 2012.

What makes you think that d'A will play a pass first point guard or wants one? Did he not have input on the trade that got the Celtics Rondo?
Much as we hated to see Duhon shoot he kept doing it.

Rubio is not anywhere near the player people thought he would become when we was drafted.
To be completely blunt... the guy flat out sucks

I have seen a few games and have friends that have followed him even closer and they all agree
he can't shoot and he is like 160lbs soaking wet.
He will not be a star in the NBA. He is currently running backup duties because he couldn't hold on to the starting position.

He was mentioned in Sheridan's chat yesterday. Sheridan mentioned that if he stays in Europe for another year he doesn't have to come into the nba on the rookie wage scale. I don't know if this means that the Wolves lose his rights or if his bargaining position improves. Sheridan also mentioned another Euro guard that he said he believes will make an impact in the nba before Rubio.

who knows what someone will become? Not me, not Briggs not the GMs who passed 37 times on Field who would become #3 on the all rookie team and #4 in the roy voting.

Minnesota is not going to give away Rubio. We cant afford to trade pieces for guys who MIGHT turn into good players.

We need guys who have proven they can produce.

Like water, Rubio has risen to his own level. He's definitely not busting up the Euro League and that trend translates to mediocrity in the NBA. Let's try to develop what we have(Fields, TD, 1st round pick) and stop this fantasy BB dream.
