lets keep it real guys, here is mine

1. We have good defenisve players, we just dont have a system when it comes in defending, There were times the celtics would run plays that would lead to no one guarding the paint or ray allen getting free.

2. We need to resign billups, we are not getting a good point guard this summer, I want billups simply because he is a guy STAT and Melo can trust, plus he is going to be the leader of this team, plus he can guide Toney more and have a training camp with him.

3. we need to upgrade our bench, i know its a given but trade some of our bench players for a solid 6th-7th man

4. Resign AC and Shawne Williams, these two players a re ballers they do not give up, and pressure of the playoffs do not rattle them

5. Sign a true 2 guard. Fields is going to have a time if he is our 2 guard i say try to get someone who can play the 2 guard. The 2 guard is more important than getting a back up point, in my opinion. If we get one , fields can be the 6th or 7th man i posted.

6. Tell D'antoni his system simply dosent work, tell him your going to hire a Defensive specialist, i he does not want, fire him. Hire Rick Adelman.

7. Lastly we need someone who can finish downlow, im praying Jerome Jordan can do that

what are yours?

My views has not changed. We need a starting PG and 2 TALL centers that can defend and rebound. Well, maybe a starting SG is also needed now.

What did we learn?

That there was no urgency in the playoffs. It was like they played with house money and you never do that in the playoffs or will be embarrassed and get swept. Only team in the East to get swept in what was expected to be the most competitive series. Once they got to NY, they mailed it in.

What to learn? That no matter the roster, you can put up a solid effort to win games. Sometimes a bad break or two will happen but once you get home, you gotta STEP it up no matter what. They didn't and we were embarrassed the rest of the way.

You may try to see the good things out of this but there really was none new. We knew the Knicks could compete with the Celtics, like in the first game. We knew we could overcome some injuries like in Game 2. Thats all there is to take: two solid efforts in a 4-game series, no good play at home. I read Stat said this was only the first step of something great and I say don't kid yourself has there was no step taken in the playoffs. You win a gam, you may have something to talk about. But getting swept and the last two games practically no-shows at home? Nothing to be proud of. Stat said we earned respect, but you don't earn zip when you come home and playto lose like they did. Less talented teams have put a win across the board against tittle contenders.

We earned nothing. We knew we had many changes to make and this embarrassment only confirmed it.

What we learned is our star players werent as shiney as some around here thought they were, that good role players and rotation players arent a dime a dozen and they win and lose playoff games. We learned that no matter how badly our heros play we have the coach to blame and we learned what you see really is what you get and what you have.

That they don't have any playable depth. They need more size. They need someone like Felton back running this offense.

1) One should learn to type and read before hitting the post topic button.

2) Billups should have been allowed to go back to Denver immediately after the trade, if for no other reason than to further ruin Denver's season.

3) Stat needs a stunt double to appear in the layup line before all playoff games.

4) Landry Fields needs to start and stay in the game in all fourth quarters.

5) Most of the bench should be sent to the NBDL.

6) Get a project big man and hire Ewing as an assistant coach. I don't care if Dantoni hears footsteps at this point.

7) Walsh better get re-upped.

8) Melo should wear number 30 next year.

no real surprises, we need a defensive big, a starting pg (Billips is nice but he couldn't keep up with Rondo if he were healthy. A consistent mid to long range shooter would be a good addition asl well.

What makes you think Billups will want to re-sign? Wasnt he talking about retirement before he got here?

I think that was something that came out from agent in regards to being traded to NJ.

I've learned never to drink during a Knicks playoff game. I got kinda plastered during game one and next morning had to talk some sense into my wife because she was fuming. Oh and also that the refs love to hate on us.

i learned:

i love having amear and melo on this team and can't wait to have them back next year.

i'd be more than happy to lose every other player on this roster and have donnie restock (if he's back and i hope he is).

i'd love to lose mda.
