First team in the playoffs to get swept. Ugh.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

We're waiting for Rivers to come off vacation. D'antoni is on death watch

Does Mike D'antoni still think you can win by focusing on offense more than defense?

I'm not sure we were focused on anything the last two games. Our offense has been just as bad as our defense this series. Toney Douglas is atrocious on defense.

I'm really afraid if Donnie gets re-upped then he might re-up Mike as well...

That's a good description of the coaching this series.

I saw no signs of focus on defense. The Knicks exhibited a East-West offensive pattern, moving the ball from side to side above the foul line, then, hoisting jump shots for the majority of their games. As their jump shots, went, so went the Knicks. 3-20 quarters are a sign of no penetration for points.

Incredible...I can't believe this is all put on the coach. If refs don't screw us over, we win game 1 and it's a completely different series. After so many unfortunate breaks, I'm not surprised we got swept and I think D'Antoni/Melo both did a hell of a job in game 2 to keep it close.

After Billups and STAT went down we didn't even have a snowball's chance in hell.

Carrion feeders come after carrion. Which is what mda basketball + the knicks seem to produce.

I'm tired of this coach not preparing his team for first quarters. It happend all regular season long, and it happend the last 2 games of this series.

Those lousy starts followed by hot 4th quarters aren't going to work against an elite Celtics team, or any legit team for that matter.

Its a serious problem that needs to be addressed when a team comes out flat for a playoff game.

I don't want to leave the impression that I believe its all D'Antoni's fault and I respect him for taking the job knowing the tough rebuilding process he faced. Its not about getting swept. Its about how they got swept. Its about making the most of what he's got, no matter how bad it is, and I don't believe he has done that.

How about the lack of use of Anthony Carter..and the overuse of Jared Jeffries? Who do we put that on? He did a terrible job of coaching..saw no plays drawn up when needed. His game to game adjustments stunk. When Celtics went on runs he gave the team no chance by make the proper adjustments in time. Why did it take Jeffries performance in game 3 to sit him on the bench. Why did it take going down 23 in Game 4 to play Anthony Carter. I've seen enough of Dantoni and anyone supporting his coaching doesn't know the game at all. When commentators have to point out adjustments you know you stink.

When you have Amare and Melo, you MUST win a single game, period.

After Billups and Stat went down, the execution was still inexcuseable, and they didn't play with the same intensity for games 3 and 4 like they did in games 1 and 2.

Its the responsibility of a head coach to instill hard nosed intensity throughout a playoff series, not just 2 games.

New coach please
