the playoffs, we have boston i think, yes? 3 and 6. knicks are 6.

YOU HEAR FIRST, HERE-- KNICKS go to second round, at least, take down OLD, FRAGILE BOSTON TEAM.

their time is gone, they are at end, KNICKS ARE BACK UP IN THAT ASS with a resurrection.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

After seeing the Celtics look old and busted today, I think I'd rather play them now. We can take Miami down in the later rounds anyway

An Advantage of playing Miami is their home court advantage stinks..Boston is a REAL road game.

I want no part of Wade or Lebron in the first round.

I prefer Boston at this point.

Wade and Lebron looked amazing. They were everywhere, deflecting, blocking, trapping...oh and theyre pretty nice on the offensive side too.

They looked pretty scary. Bosh played well too. Celtics looked defeated.

I'd still rather play Miami. The Knicks match up better against Miami, when both teams are on. Boston has been there before and won't assumed they'll look the same in the playoffs.

That said, that Perkins trade looked bad then and looks horrible know. The Celtics interior defense isn't great any more. I hope the plan is to hammer the inside against Boston first, then look to the outside. If the Knicks play a finesse perimeter game against Boston they'll lose

The Perkins trade is about the future for Boston. Garnett(35 yrs old), Allen(36 yrs old), and Pierce(34 yrs old) arent getting any younger. Paying Perkin this summer would have been a short term win for Boston only.

Rondo and Green are both the same age. So at least Boston has some young guys to fall back on. Plus Green has more upside than Perkins.

Rondo gets traded at some point. Good pt on a team of shooters.

Boston looks vulnerable. I want them.

Before today I would've agreed with you, definitely want Miami instead of Boston. But I watched most of that Heat-Celtics game and Miami looks on point while Boston looks lost. I think after what we've seen today, and the last couple of weeks, Boston looks like the better match-up now.

I saw none of that game... but I do think Miami is still learning to play together and Boston has been there before. I wouldn't be surprised if once they get to the playoffs it is the same old Boston. I could be wrong... maybe Boston just got old real quick. And I do think that Perkins trade was a huge mistake.

But--if the Knicks don't attack the hoop and pound it inside with Amar'e and Melo it will be a quick series. Boston had its way against the Knicks all year... Miami plays the same brand of basketball as the Knicks... if the Knicks hit their threes they could beat Miami. The Knicks could hit their threes against Boston and get crushed.

I think you guys are all wrong about Boston...These are vets, they will be ready for the playoffs...We can't deal with their frontline ever...Miami is a better draw ..we match up better...South Beach guys have no heart..Celtics will show up when it counts..They are just proving a point to Ainge right now...

I worry that Boston is too experience for us, but we probably have a better chance against them than facing Lebron and D. Wade in the first round.

boston is very experience but they are on last legs, crippled, tired. boston is wounded animal in wild forests.

time is ripe, the old guard goes down and new comes to take place.

knicks are coming up! and they're going hard!

I don't necessarily disagree with your points, it's just that Miami is peaking while Boston has played .500 ball over their last 20 games. Of course, we play Boston to close the season so that game should help us see how beatable Boston is in the playoffs.

I think the Perkins trade has hurt the Celtics. I think the Knicks will play competitive ball regardless of who they play.

Their frontline isn't that good without Perkins. Other than Garnett, who Amare always plays well against, who else is there? Krstic scares absolutely no one; Shaq is pretty close to washed up and can't stay healthy, he's only played 20mpg in 37 games; Jermaine O'Neal is so far past the point of washed up, I don't even know what to call it.

The other thing I've been wondering, if Lebron doesn't quit after game 3 of the conference semis last year, do any of us think of Boston as unbeatable? That's not to say that Boston wouldn't be favored to move on in the playoffs. Just wondering if Boston is kind of overrated due to the weird circumstances of last year's playoffs.

Boston does look pretty bad, but they didn't look great last year either in the regualr season and then tore through the eastern conference in the playoffs. I just think they are the bigger and deeper team. Is Shaq gonna be 100% by game 1?

I just don't see them playing this bad once the postseason starts. Miami on the other hand looked very good, but is still thin on the bench and not much bigger than the Knicks fromtline. That's the only reason I'd rather play them.... and to possibly watch LeBron choke in the Garden while Melo remains clutch.

Pros of playing Boston: Old and slow, capable of a letdown series.
Cons of playing Boston: Half court team, good size, good defense.

Pros of playing Miami: No defensive presence down low, Melo can outplay James anytime, anywhere.
Cons of playing Miami: More firepower than us, better transition team.
