raises ticket prices 50% as the team absolutely craps out to finish the season.

how can we start a viral campaign to "take back the knicks." getting the fat weasel to sell the team is nearly impossible but a boycott of a jacking up of the prices seems totally possible.

website ideas? slogans?

down with the fat tyrant. if it can be done in libya and egypt we can take back our team.

I know you can't do anything at MSG. Remember how all of the Fire Isiah stuff was handled.

James Dolan is basically Moamar Quadahfi. He will do what he wants with no regard for Knicks fans lives. He is going to own the team to the very bitter end.

He should have. You know, because the Knicks were so exciting to watch.

Are you sure about that Holfresh? I went to a game this year and remember the tickets being much more expensive than when I went to the game I went to before that, which is 2 years ago, and I, for some reason, have a pretty decent memory of what general prices are for certain sections.

The only way to impact a corporation is the bottom line, money. You don't need to plan anything. As long as people go willingly, as long as people pay to watch games, Dolan will hold the team. The value of the team needs to tumble. If things keep up, we don't need to do anything at all, if you know what I mean.

For the record, he's raising the prices because of the garden renovations, that he's paying for, and essentially, making us pay for.

Well according to ESPN.. The Knick did not raise ticket prices I six years because they didn't make the playoffs..

What a shame the team with the 2nd highest ticket prices in the league did not raise their ticket prices during their awful seasons but then raised them by 150% in one offseason.

Let's buy the Knicks! They're worth $655 million according to Forbes. Anyone have a few million that's burning a hole in their pocket?

Not sure about that. The ticket prices were definitely more expensive this season than 2 years ago.

It looks like Dolan's mishap of a trade may right itself on it's own as fewer people are watching the games (as of now it's still free to just check the box scores). If we end the season on this losing note and don't make any decent trades or get lucky in the draft, I think fans will wait before they come to the games or buy the television packages (especially in light of the increase in ticket prices). I've stopped watching games...

That's season ticket prices. I'm talking about game to game prices. They absolutely were raised, whether it says it in the post or not.

When they traded for Carmelo, I created a thread saying a protest was needed against what was going on, but the thread got locked. Now you all are realizing what a few of us said two months ago... Hope you guys enjoy Carmelo and his isolation game : one pass, one bad shoot, and dumb defense.

There is no hope as long as Dolan runs this team. It's time to make our voice heard. Do the website thing, facebook, contact the beatwriters, create a sticker that people could wear inside MSG...

Tune in or tune out.

"Real Fans" thru thin and think enable the franchise.

Winning is what ultimately is the draw.

Dolan will fire the coach then make new offseason videos with players scowling acting all tough and proclaiming how "you, the greatest fans in the world" blah blah blah......and most of you will eat it up. New uniforms will get you "Jacked" about then new season and perhaps some new players. Summer league stars will excite, then the "how many days until season starts" count down followed but the annual "TMS" Alba show down where we post the hot chicks and he argues his "Bukkake" hotness is better than yours, Then Yankees will get bounced in the playoffs and we proclaim to be happy basketball is returning and the "Garden will Rock!"

Yeah, its all the same.

Charlie Sheen understands one thing: "Winning" is the draw.

I'll do some research, need to find out relationship between MSG + daddy starbucks (aka Charles Dolan). If Charles is ultimately/bottom line in charge, with Jimmy the incompetent out in front, then we can make a difference (if it's just Jimmy, not sure anything can get through to the guy). Would require a coordinated viral effort, like the thread says. Would need some prominent/famous fans to speak out (Spike, you there?); would need some type of rolling boycott (imagine one single home game where no one showed up, and it was to support getting the Dolans to sell); and would need an element of bottom-line impact - a massive DoS attack against Cablevision, for instance.
The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.
