I can't believe the doom and gloom on this board!

1. AR shuld have been given a chance.
2. Mozgov!
3. Gallo is the next Dirk.
4. We gave up 2nd round picks?!
5. Billups is old.
6. Melo is not a team player he's a diva.
7. We have no cap space.
8. Dolan only wants to sell tickets.
9. MDA is a horrible coach.
10. Blah, blah, blh

Bottom line is that we now have 2 studs to build this team around. I don't give a crap about 7-10 and what the Knuggets are doing. Have a little faith and let's see what the future holds. We have some pieces on the team already, ie Shawn Williams, TD, Fields.

We'll get a good player in the draft and add a couple of pieces over the summer. Some of you guys are killing me to the point where I feel that this may be an ultimate Knicks hate forum. C'mon it's not as bad as many of you think it is.

If we lose again to Milwaukee, you know this thread will crash and burn, right?

The Knicks have lost 5 in a row, and eight of nine down the stretch when they should be trying to improve their playoff position. Enough with the calm down threads. This is messed up.

A well timed thread... most truly.

Most teams would kill to be in our position even with our current meltdown. I hate seeing us lose over and over right now but with 2 stars on our roster and still some available cap i know things wil get a lot better. Lmao at all the people saying we need to scrap this team and rebuild.

"Lmao at all the people saying we need to scrap this team and rebuild."

LMAO at the people who overlook the fact we already scrapped the team. Want evidence? Look at the team assists totals and get back to me. Rebuild? Yup. We need 6-8 new players. Minimally, two centers, a power forward, two lead guards and another 6'7 shooting guard who can defend.

tj23 - please tell me when it gets better.

"Most" teams would like to be on the verge of the most epic playoff run collapse in NBA history?

Most teams would like to be disorganized, dispirited and disjointed?

Wrong

"most" teams are happy with what and who they are

They are not trying to emulate the NYKnicks in any form or fashion.

That is a huge difference. Why are we the only ones who are fascinated by every other teams players like a shiny object?

My kingdom for some chemistry.

Just because I want the doom and gloom to cease doesn't mean I can't get pissed off when they play like crap and lose a game. I never said they were winning the championship this year.

CashMoney - you are getting "doom and gloom" confused with reality. This is not about proving anything. There is no prize for being "right." It is simply an open discussion for entertainment purposes only. It ain't that deep. Here is a fundamental thought to consider.

Building a team is a three year process.

Year one you decide on the guys you want to keep. They are together for a full season. You make the playoffs if you are lucky.

Year two they learn how to win and make a strong showing in the playoffs. They may not make the conference finals, but they put a scare into a quality team.

Year three they make some noise in the playoffs. (minimally, the conference finals or semi finals)

For a great example, look at Oklahoma City. They are currently in year three.

Exactly, a 3 year process and we're 18 games into it.

Cool.

So, let me get this straight.. when you say, "I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS CRAP!" you are just talking about the Bucks game, right?

Nothing else.

Correct, statement made with regard to the way they were playing, like letting Jennings get to the hoop at will.

Cool. Here is a thought. Next time one (or all) of the Knicks defenders gets lit up like a Christmas tree, just breathe. Repeat after me, "it's just a part of the learning process... it's just a part of the learning process..."

It's all good.

Give these guys more time together And add a big like Howard or gasol and/or a pg like cp3/Nash/dwill and these team will be better than any team we've seen in a looong time.

I don't have "doom and gloom" over the trade but I do have it over the way this team won't play hard for 48 minutes.
Enough with the doom and gloom!
