After all the arguing back and forth and debate on the trade, it's hard to believe that this team is only 3.5 games out of the 5 spot. If they can keep up the recent defensive intensity they've been showing, who knows what might happen the rest of the way. We haven't even been at full strength!

I just looked and they play the Lakers, Bulls and Blazers. That's a tough stretch for them. Meanwhile we'll play the Grizz, Mavs and Pacers. We have a shot to get closer to them this week.

I want to get the 5th if Miami falls to 4. Otherwise, I'm happy at 6th because I want to "upset" the Heat again. And I really, really, really, REALLY want to watch LBJ cry

I think the Grizzlies are playing some of the best ball in the league right now - they beat Orlando and Dallas.

Grizz are a good, tough matchup for the Knicks - but we should be able to beat them.

Dallas matchup is very interesting. If Billups can play, that game could have a playoffs type feel to it.

Heat/Knicks would be EPIC!!! There's still a slim chance that could actually happen the way all the teams are trending.

5th or 6th doesn't matter too much. Any team we face will be a tough matchup. Orlando has matched up well with us this season.

I'm seeing a lot of posting about us beating Miami in the first round.

While that would be a very sweet defeat for me as a Knicks fan, my goal is to achieve the best possible seed in the East and beat whoever we face.

I couldn't care who we play, the EAST is wide open, and we now have (JJ) the rondo stopper boston can get it as well..but if i did have one choice, I don't think we match up well at all against the magic, i would not want them in the 1st rnd at all. It seems like we haven't beaten that team in years, and we play them 4 times a season.

BTW..Lakers handling the Hawks right now...up double digits in the 3rd

I don't think we can realistically beat any of the top teams in the East in 7 games but ORL will give us the most problems. We can definitley give teh other three a run for their money and if we get lucky pull out a first round sereis. But chances are we get killed by the refs.

I disagree. I think the Knicks can beat any of the teams in the East except for the Celtics. I'm not so impressed by the other teams that I think we'd be overmatched. We're not even playing our best BB right now and we're competitive. I think we have another level we're gonna reach by the time the playoffs get here.

The Hawks and Heat might be in a bit of trouble right now. Neither team is looking very good. Both teams are showing a lack of confidence and with so few games left that's really bad timing. With every loss to an above .500 team the hole gets deeper. It's gonna be real important that we win as much as possible now. Many analysts said it was impossible for the Knicks to catch the teams ahead of them, but it's not looking so far fetched anymore. We've got a lot of motivation too, with the Sixers on our tail.

Knicks just 3 games out of the 5 spot! The next 2 games are TOUGH. A bac2bac with the Grizz and Mavs is just crazy, but if we can get one game it would be a victory.

Atlanta has to be nervous. Their lead over NYK down to 3 games, and Philly down to 3.5.
After holding onto the 4/5 seed all year, they could find themselves 7th come playoffs.

This is the kind of thing that makes a players arms get tight. Fear and doubt start to creep into the teams mentality and all of a sudden they can't get over the hump. The Heat is feeling that right now too. It doesn't help that the schedule makers put some tough games on the schedule to end the season. No one gets any breaks.

I don't think it makes much of a difference if we are 6 or 7, we play either Chicago or Miami. Miami is playing badly now but I think that they will be really dangerous in the playoffs.

If we don't get home court, than I don't care where we end up 5-8. I certainly want to win as many games as possible, but I think facing any team in the top 4 would be tough to contend with. I would have most confidence facing, in this order 1) Bulls, 2) Heat, 3) Magic, 4) Celtics. Though I have a sneaking suspicion Lebron and Wade will turn it on in the playoffs. I do think the last two games against them have planted a seed in the head of the Heat- we may be able to steal a series from them.

Now 2.5
But frankly, I wanna stay where we are and fight the Fire Nation in round 1.

Can somebody photoshop Wade's face into that pic?

I want the Heat in round one for sure... but the #1 thing is to hit the postseason with a set rotation and playing well. We NEED to win in round one
