You have a situation where some players will be able to to step up in ways that they couldn't do previously because of established pecking orders on their respective teams. The fact of the matter is that nobody knows where/when Denver will peak in terms of performance, because they are going through unchartered territory with the players who will now have a chance to shine.
Everyone forgets that we have an example from Knick's history of a trade whioh opened up new opportunities for certain players to reach their full potential. Bellamy and Komives for Debusschere allowed:
Frazier to achieve his full potential as a player
Reed to play the postition he was better suited to play
DeBusschere to be a top quality glue guy on an unselfish team
Not saying that Reed and DeBusscher were unknown quantities at the time, but their games reached new levels after the trade.
Nobody knows how the Nuggets will end up with this squad, but if they buy into Karl's vision of a team, they will be fun to watch, dangerous to play against, and they have enough talent so that I don't think they will be overwhelmed against star studded teams.
Only time will tell, though.
