As constructed, our team is not yet championship quality.
Still need to work out some holes, get a center, and some more defenders.
We ain't winning a chip this season.

However, here's something that would make me very VERY happy.
Chicago goes on a little tear, and overtakes Miami in the standings, who fall to 3rd seed.
Knicks stay where they are, and keep the 6th seed.
Knicks meet Miami in the first round and send Wade, Lecon and that fool, Bosh, home early.
That, to me, would be priceless.

Until we can win a chip, the next best thing I will look forward to every year will be denying Miami.

I agree with everything you wrote.

That being said, a little topic-happy aren't we today, Panos? Too much passion.

Back in the day whenever Riley's Heat got eliminated by us, or others it was a good season.

I think JVG got him all but once, the year of the fight. Which was one of our better teams.

I think Chicago is starting to have that "look" about now.

Hope the celts lose for natural reasons but the pained expression on Pierces face all game long is almost making me sympathetic toward him. KG is some is just an awful person. Too Bad Ray Ray is with them. I always liked him. Consumate pro thu the years.

What I wouldn't give to have Ray Ray on this team. He would feast.

My wish for this season is that we execute in the closing minutes of the 4th quarter, and win an NBA championship as a result. OR... at least make it to the NBA finals.

The Celtics used to be the most complete team in the east, but the trade of Perkins (swapping in Krstic) weakens them a bit.
Miami lacks post-up scorers, heavy on slashers... which makes them a difficult choice for going all the way. When the defense is tight, can they score?
Orlando may not have really changed that much when you consider Nelson is STILL the 2nd best player on the team.

The Knicks probably have the best collection of post-up scorers in the east and a nice group of 3pt shooters. What we lack is a quality bruiser big man to eat up 15 minutes or so... and defense can be improved all around, either by refining their schemes or adding a lock-down defender to the roster (perhaps also for 15mpg).

My wish is for a competitive first round series. Anything else is a bonus. Let's take them to 7, whatever the team, and go from there.
WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

not good enough.. we have 3 all stars, 2 top 10 NBA players and a former finals MVP running the ship. A competitive first round exit is not impressive to me. Not even a little. I dont care what seed we are

Yea, true. I look at the standings now and I see we're pretty much locked for the 6, which leaves us with a 6-3 match-up, likely Chicago.

We can handle Chicago.
