I think you could do a whole helluva lot worse than Bibby as a back up. He hit some big threes the last time we played the Hawks. All I know is I'd rather him than Jr.

I remember Bibby on Sacramento. He clips his fingernails on the bench. No thanks.

He is the ideal backup for the playoffs. Miami is probably going to get him though.

the NY Knicks are the flavor of the week. Hopefully some of the available players buy into the buzz.

ideal for what?

less than two seconds to go, down three, with the Knicks inbounding at halfcourt

TD is better now, but I wouldn't mind adding Bibby in case Billups gets in foul trouble or tossed or something

He's a legacy pickup... 1 degree of separation from his dad and our last title.

Part of me is sick of hearing about every player who gets bought out considering Miami as a destination. They can barely find enough minutes for Mike Miller. I don't get why players would want to play severely limited minutes to try to chase a ring. Troy Murphy, Bibby, etc should go to a contending team that actually NEEDS them to contribute. IS it really satisfying looking at your ring and knowing you just signed on to ride coattail/barely contribute anything?

On the other hand maybe some of these guys will want to come to the Knicks and sign for peanuts once we're seen as championship contenders?

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Knicks got plenty of 3 point shooters, and that's all Bibby does. No need to waste a roster spot on that.

Yikes, apparently the guys waived his $6.2m salary for next season.

Not sure I want anyone that dumb on the Knicks.

Bibby would be great, but I'd rather swing for the fences with two or three of the available bigs and roll with AC/TD as backup PG's for this year.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

In a stunning move, Bibby, whom the Wizards acquired from Atlanta last week in a trade for Kirk Hinrich, gave up his entire salary for next season, sources said. The 32-year-old point guard had one year and $6.2 million left on his deal.

Bibby is eager to sign with a title-contending team after clearing waivers, and sources say the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat and Portland Trail Blazers are interested in him.

For Washington, the deal is a sweetheart one that will knock next season's payroll down to roughly $38 million, which is $20 million below the current salary cap.

seems ideal for the C's given rondo's ineffectiveness in the last 2 minutes of the game. bibby still has ice in his veins. who remembers this game:

Regardless of minutes, I've got to believe players have started to notice that the heat struggle playing teams over 500.

Dude is chasing a chip. Gave up big money.

My guess is he has his team picked and his salary for next year negotiated.

So he makes a few mil less. He had a big contract.

Next year when we get closer we'll have these types of guys (albiet with better on bench hygine) available.

Ideal for not making bone headed plays at the end of games.
